Ragu Classic Alfredo Sauce - 16oz

The best to me

I ordered 5 jars, and i found later at home that I only got 4. The system cancelled one, probably the store did not have enough to fulfill my order. I wish I would have received a prior notification, then I would have gone to another store.

Kind of bland alone but you can add salt, Parmesan, and more ingredients for better flavor. I do like the consistency as it is not watery very thick!

This was my favorite jarred sauce, I bought two every grocery run like clockwork, but now it tastes like.... pepper water? Maybe? The consitancy is way off, so watery, and the aftertaste? What is that??? Why change a good thing, ragu? I haven't purchased in almost a year and will continue to avoid. Which is unfortunate because I haven't mastered my own sauce yet so pasta is off the menu.

I've been eating ragu alfredo sauce since I was a child. Although I know how to make Alfredo sauce from scratch, I continued to use ragu Alfredo sauce because everyone in my family loves it and it helps out on the days I'm not making it from scratch. Recently, I noticed a change in the sauce. I thought it was just me but the more I tasted it and the more I looked at it, it became clear that the recipe has changed. The color and the consistency is watered down and It has an aftertaste to it that prevents me from wanting more. It saddens me because I made the decision that I'm no longer going to purchase the once delicious Ragu Alfredo sauce. Hopefully in the future the original recipe will come back. But until then I'm going to start making homemade Alfredo sauce . I'm also going to look into different brands to see if I can find something that is more appealing to me and my family for the times that I will be needing to make a quick and easy dinner.

My family and I have been purchasing Ragu Classic Alfredo for years now and have always loved the taste. Recently however, the sauce is completely different. The consistency is more like gravy and it definitely tastes watered down. It just doesn't taste the same anymore.

It had a weird flavor. This wasn’t for me

Frankly, I was shocked at how really good this sauce is. All I did was to add a couple dashes of my Chinese cooking wine (which tastes like Sherry) for a flavor boost and sauteed some mushrooms and broccoli. Added the minced garlic and had it over cooked Fettucine. Plus, sprinkled Parmesan over all. Absolutely fabulous! ( As I have written 4 cookbooks, I do know the good from the bad!) Thanks for the sale Target!!!!!

They changed the recipe! This used to be my favorite jarred sauce, which is saying something because I have the palette of a child (I'm so picky it's embarrassing). It SUCKS now. Do not buy!!!!!

We buy Ragu all the time we really love the classic fettuccine sauce!! I just wish that they would make a big jug of this like they do the Ragu spaghetti sauces! I have a family of 5 but count my bonus kids and we're a family of 7-8 then husband had guys stay when they come up to work I always end up buying like 4-5 jars when I wish I could buy 1-2 of the big jugs like the spaghetti sauce! Oh well! Still good still gonna buy it!!

I find this sauce to be bland and runny, but it works if you season it and/or add it to a red sauce. It's good in a pinch for a casserole or pasta bake, but not my favorite.

I’m not a huge Alfredo fan but it’s pretty good!

The best sauce that ever touched my mouth, I'm so upset that i can't find it in Braziol stores anymore, hope someday I will.

Very tasty for my fettuccine Alfredo pasta.

Since 2022, this sauce changed. Back when it had the blue lid, it was the best Alfredo sauce out there. Since changing to the yellow lid, they changed the formula and it’s terrible. Do not buy! Please go back to the old formula!

Taste was way off from any alfredo sauce I've tasted , it made my child and I nauseous with just the smell

The taste was very off putting. Could be due to soybean oil being a main ingredient. My go to is Classico

Unfortunately this Alfredo tasted rancid. I have gotten Ragu Alfredo before and it’s not the best but does the job when in a pinch. I recently purchased a jar and noticed a funny smell as it was cooking. I tasted it and it was definitely bad. The sauce in the jar had a rancid, almost chemical smell.

Easy to use, goes well with fettuccine noodles. I needed to use 2 jars for a large pot of Alfredo.
