Weird taste
Typical tartar sauce has a sort of creamy look and flavor. This tartar sauce has a kind of slimy, oily appearance and flavor, like someone mixed 3 parts tartar sauce and one part corn oil. I would have thrown it out, but I really hate throwing food away. So I ended up eating most of it, then I couldn't take it anymore and threw the last 1/3 of it away.

Open and gross bottle that protectively wrapped stuffed in plastic bag for mailing bottle open and destroyed.
Bottle was received in a plastic wrapper with no protection around it. I opened it. The cap was off. It was slimy, wet and smelly all over my hands and let’s face it. Tartar sauce stinks. It should’ve been wrapped in some kind of protective sleeve before it went in the package . Actually very gross.

Tired of plain ol' mayo in the tuna and egg salads. Tartar sauce popped into my mind so I tried Market Panty brand. It is quite good, altho' a tad sweet for us. I bought a jar of dill pickle relish and added some to the tuna as well. BINGO! A delicious mix of sweet and sour dill! Bet it'd be great in deviled eggs, too!
