Guests are saying
The recent reformulation of this mac and cheese has left many guests disappointed, citing a lack of flavor and creaminess compared to previous versions. However, some guests appreciate the organic ingredients and the ease of preparation. The shells hold the sauce well, and the product is seen as a healthier alternative to traditional mac and cheese. While some guests miss the old recipe, others find it a convenient option for quick meals.

it tastes good! the powder doesn't really stick if you don't use butter or milk. here's how I make them to make sure they're creamy: 1: cook the noodles 2: drain the water and set aside 3: in a sauce pan, place 1 to 2 tbsp of butter and melt, then place enough milk to cover the bottom of the sauce pan (also about 2 tbps or a splash or two of milk). then add in the cheese powder and stir it all together until it look like a sauce 4: add in the noodles and mix it comes out creamy every time 👌

The first downside is that it was dry. It wasn’t creamy with cheese. The little macaroni shells were just loose on the plate. It had very little flavor. I would not buy it again.

Not Worth It
No flavor what so ever. This was horrible. They need to remove the words cheddar and cheese from the front of the box. The powder doesn't mix well into the pasta. Bad just bad.

Bring back the old recipe!
Bring back the old recipe! It’s not nearly as creamy as it used to be and the flavor is completely different. The cheese powder barely mixes in

Sellouts, corporate greed
This product used to be a go to for my son. Since Annie's Hoemgrown SOLD OUT to General Mills, the product has not been the same. Its now stuffed with preservative and fillers. Stay away from this product and company.

Since being bought out by GM, the entire recipe has been reformulated. It is not nearly as creamy, it even doesn’t taste good anymore.

You just lost a 30-year customer
Wish I could give zero stars for this reformulation. I do my best not to waste food but for the past year every box of Annie's I've made has gone straight into the trash after a couple bites. It tastes like paper maché or cardboard covered in glue. Zero cheese flavor and an absolutely horrible gloppy texture - you can't make it into a smooth sauce even with extra milk, extra butter, or heavy cream. I've been eating Annie's shells and cheddar since I was a toddler in the 1990s but I will never buy it again. The owners of Goodles must be laughing all the way to the bank right now because Annie’s fumbled this reformulation so badly. Good riddance to a once beloved brand.

Needs More Cheese
There is NOT enough cheese in this box. Be sure to add milk instead of just water, or you will get no flavor at all.

Recipe Change Fail
This used to be a staple In our home and not one person will eat it following the recipe change, immediately went to waste. Why change a good thing? Really disappointing for a product that was always reliable and great. We will not be purchasing again unless the recipe is changed back! Very much impacts our purchasing of your other branded products as well.. what’s next?

Inedible
I have been eating Annie's mac and cheese for decades and the recipe change has made it completely inedible. I threw my boxes away. So disappointing. Never buying again until they change it back.

Not the same Annie’s
It does NOT taste the same, super disappointed in this brand I’ve trusted my entire life. Not anymore! Sickening! The cheese powder is so hard to mix in now, it’s so chunky, not powder it used be. I used to lick those powder packets clean, fighting over my siblings for it, last time I had a box, I convinced myself my taste changed, until I looked up yall were bought out.

Bad Taste Change
Two years ago I switched from Kraft to Annie’s and I’ve been buying them weekly ever since. But it seems like Annie’s changed their recipe because for the past few months all the boxes I’ve made have tasted terrible and they’ve made me nauseous. It tastes like spoiled, stale, metallic, pasta. Shame on them. I won’t be buying Annie’s again.

Terrible change in original recipe! This used to be a comfort food and now I’ll never be able to eat it again. This is genuinely not the same product anymore, I hope that one day with enough feedback this will be fixed…
