Very disappointing recipe changes.
My kids and I have eaten the Shells & White Cheddar for years and it was a healthier and tastier choice than other quick macaroni brands. But the "cheese" recipe has changed, particularly with the addition of corn starch (and probably other unhealthy things). For that reason I am no longer a loyal customer. The taste and texture is awful now, and my kids have also noticed and commented. Very disappointing.

Disappointed by new recipe :(
I used to be a lifelong fan of Annie's, but this new recipe is disappointing. The flavor tastes more artificial and the consistency ends up more goopy. I'm not a fan!

Greedy shareholders have RUINED this product. The new recipe is just corn starch and it’s horrible. I ate this for 20 years and I will never buy it again.

New recipe deserves a recall.
Crying. I guess they changed their recipes and I just got my first boxes from that lot. I knew something was wrong as soon as I mixed and the sauce was to thick. Comfort food of over a decade just GONE. Texture is gluey and it looks awful when you mix it. Sticks to your teeth and you can feel grit left over. I mean come on, is it really that hard to source powdered milk and butter?

This used to be a staple for my fiance and I, but I just tried the new recipe and it's really really bad. I buy in bulk, and now I have 30 boxes of inedible Mac n cheese in the apartment :(

Boring garbage that never turns out correctly.
Annie's use to make good mac and cheese but not anymore. I followed the directions except for using slightly less milk than calls for. Turns out very runny almost like a soup.The cheese seasoning doesn't mix very well and is clumpy. Also just tastes boring and bland. This by far to be the worse box mac and cheese there is even Velveeta and Kraft are better than this garbage. I'll never buy Annie's again.

New recipe sucks. Lactic acid usually does help add cheesieness but whatever you did ruined it. Was a good run but will not be buying it again. Thanks for that.

I'm extremely disappointed in the new recipe. It's a huge downgrade from the original. The taste is super bland and the texture is terrible and chalky. I don't know if they were trying to cut costs or not but there's nothing "organic" and "homegrown" about replacing ingredients with corn starch.

NO, NO, and NO! The "Now Cheesier" version is nasty. My 17-year-old made some for herself today from a new pack of 12 boxes from B.J.'s. She said "it doesn't taste like real cheese anymore". And that "It's too salty" and "It tastes fake". "Tastes like generic Mac and Cheese and doesn't taste like cheddar anymore." I make homemade shells and cheese using wholesome ingredients. But sometimes, Mom gets busy and teens make their own lunch and snacks. It's sad that this staple has been changed. Now I've got the rest of the case to donate. As my daughter said "We've been loyal customers for literally my entire life". The ingredient list LOOKS fine but in the end, it's the opinion of those who eat it that matters most. Please change it back.

Love the taste not the ingredients
My kids love this product but we will no longer be buying any of your Mac and cheese. Phthalates are on my radar and I am trying to avoid them. Which includes this Mac and cheese. Also silicon dioxide?

Clumpy brown cheese. Gross.
I’ve eaten this stuff for YEARS but the last several boxes have had hard clumpy cheese that was not powdery. And the last box had brown cheese. Your quality control is obviously not good. Something has changed and I will likely not buy any more.
