Please Don't Fall for It!
I was excited to try Annie's dry macaroni and cheese mix in the fun, feel-good box, because I--somewhat irrationally, as we shall see--expected that a premium price tag would deliver extra--or at least a solid level of--cheesiness. The result? Nope: Not. Even. CLOSE. For decades, I have reserved a portion of the pasta from The Blue Box so that the ratio of the flavored powder rises versus the pasta, easily leading to satisfying servings. When I have a sufficient amount of macaroni in reserve, I use the pasta for whatever I want. Sadly, I see that I must do that with Annie's, too; only here, the product is MUCH worse. I was forced to add a good amount of very sharp, freshly grated cheese to achieve anything close to an acceptable level cheesiness. I seriously regret having bought eight boxes, which, in a rare move, I only did because my preferred grocery recently offered an unusually low sale price. At least they are each of a differing variety, so hope springs eternal. Bummer. Wonder if someone else would want it? I guess that I'll have to ask. [P.S. The "Contact Us" link on the home page does not lead to any such thing. I tried both Microsoft and Google browsers.]

No taste
I was so disappointed. I hardly ever have Mac and cheese as an adult. I usually love it so much I can eat half the box by myself but this batch was so bland it didn’t even taste like I had used the packet. It was surprising. It really didn’t even change color from the brown pasta.

My child loves this!
My Autistic child loves this pasta he loves the taste and the great bunny shape which is amazing since it’s hard to get to them to eat so anything they love helps. It’s just too bad I can’t get it shipped to my house personally because that would be amazing.

No cheese packet.
Normally we love this for a lunch! The last box we opened didn’t have a cheese powder packet so we couldn’t make it! Very bummed.

Not organic
How is this considered organic when it has silicone dioxide in it??! It’s a known toxin that causes cancer!!!
1 reply from Published by General Mills team - 2 years ago
Hello! Good Question. Silicon dioxide is a trace mineral found in many plant foods. In addition to food, it can also be found in multivitamins and supplements. In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we have recently updated our ingredient statement to reflect the presence of silicon dioxide. Silicon dioxide is not required by the FDA to be labelled if the amount is under 2%. Silicon dioxide is used to prevent the cheese from clumping.

Dairy Question - Just the Pasta
I will update the stars to 5, but needed some additional clarification. Does the pasta contain milk ingredients? Or is all the dairy ingredients just contained within the cheese packet? My daughter has a dairy allergy, wanted to make the pasta and put into tomatoe soup, and exclude the cheese. But just needing the know the actual contents of the pasta only.

Plastic in my noodles
I just found little shards of plastic throughout all my noodles and burnt to the side of pot! This is gross and unacceptable ! It was the gluten free one. I will be contacting General Mills first this tomorrow . Everyone be aware of this issue.

Annie's is Cheesier than Kraft
I'm not sure why everyone isn't eating Annie's mac n cheese. It has cleaner ingredients than Kraft and is way cheesier, in my opinion (and I grew up eating Kraft as least twice a week. To this day, mac n cheese is my favorite food and I'm 33). My toddler LOVES mac n cheese, no surprise, and I feel a lot better about giving him this vs. Kraft.
