does not taste like jambalaya. Barely had any peppers or anything in it. It is super spicy. My partner and I both really like spicy food, but this was a lot. Seriously lacking flavor. Does not taste bad, just does not taste good. jambalaya was not in the room with us, but the spice was.

Apparently the ingredients have changed, “hydrolyzed corn protein” has been added. However, the online ingredient list does not reflect this change. With my corn allergy, I sadly can no longer eat this product and wish I would’ve known the ingredients had changed before I bought this product.

The recipe used to be full of flavor but now it’s missing something. After the first day the flavor is lacking. You’ll have to add in more of your own. It doesn’t have as much of the vegetable pieces in it as well. It was just rice and seasoning mostly.

This right here is some good tasting Jambalaya. It is easy to prepare and serve. The quality is excellent and the taste is even better. I like to purchase this for when I want to cook light and basically for me. I'm the biggest fan of it at home, but when It is served for dinner I add a little of the sauce from the bake chicken over it when plating and they eat like it's their favorite. You can add peppers, vegetable or whatever to it, even meat diced up.

Not too bad for packaged jambalya. I used shrimp and jalapeno sausage. Simmered for 25 min - LOTS of water left. Chicken broth would be better and 33-35 min. I find box misleading as it shows red and green peppers which I assumed were in the mix like in many other dishes.

Instructions read to add 6cups of water. This turned out to be a pot of dirty , flavorless water . I have a second box , same instructions. Never again will I buy Zatarains .

I used to love Zatarain's Jambalaya Mix. It was a bit salty (even the low-sodium version), but by the time I finished adding a bunch of vegetables, it was ok. Now they "improved" the flavor by *removing* all the flavor. It seriously looked like they had forgotten most of the seasonings. It's bland and pale - only slightly redder than plain rice. I thought it needs some tomato, onion and garlic, at a minimum, but then I might as well make it from scratch.

I have always bought the Jambalaya mix as it was an easy fix for dinner. But I don't like the taste of the new flavor. Its like when they changed the flavor of the frozen red beans for no reason and made it worse. Why change things that are tasty.
