[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally don't cook rice over the stove because I can never get it to turn out right. It's always hard and sticks to the pan no matter what I do, so I normally use my rice cooker or buy the rice in a bag and stick in this microwave… but this CAME OUT AMAZING!! The taste was so good, so flavorful, savory, and had just the right amount of spice to it. I didn't need to throw anything extra in it and it had mixed veggies in it which I liked. The rice was soft, cooked perfectly, and wasn't dry. Even my boyfriend thought it tasted really good and he normally doesn't eat my rice that I cook. We had chicken enchiladas with it but this would taste so good with grilled pork chops and chicken breast as well. I was able to try this for free for exchange of this review but if I see this rice out at the store I will be definitely buying a couple boxes. Only downfall is it does take 30-35 mins to cook so you have to be mindful of whatever else you're cooking with it as well. I was REALLY hungry at the time so I had a hard time being patient!! Otherwise super good!

So I made mine without butter. Mine didn't take the full time to cook so I'm glad the instructions gave the option to cook until tender. I wasn't sure what to expect with a name like 'yellow rice'. It has a chicken flavor. I'd say this is nothing exceptional. I think I'd rather flavor my own plain rice.

It's easy to make, the rice is fluffy and it is balanced- it's flavorful without being spicy, which is needed for my two picky kids. It's great with chicken, pork chops, or on its own. I usually eat Vigo yellow rice and have for decades but was curious to try Zatarains. I was pleasantly surprised by the bold flavor as well as the amount of peppers in the rice. I think it's going to replace vigo for me. I definitely recommend trying it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only tried this flavor so far. It's decent for a quick meal — the taste isn't very bold and could use a bit more salt, but that's easy to fix. My main issue is that it had a bit of a cardboard-like taste. On the plus side, the rice looked nice and cooked well, so I'd be willing to try the other flavors to see if they're better.

It was not spicy or dry, but had a subtle flavor that was delicious. We paired it with mixed vegetables and baked stuffed Salmon.

I have tried a lot of Zatarains products and find them to be incredibly delicious and easy to not mess up which I am notorious for. The yellow rice was very easy to make. Add water simmer and you are ready to serve after 25 minutes. It came out perfect consistency and the appropriate doneness for rice. My hang up was the flavor and I think that was the turmeric. I have not eaten a lot of dishes with turmeric and was excited to try this. It had an aftertaste that was very earthy and I did not care for it but thats not to say it wasn't a great side dish. I just personally did not enjoy the flavor. I think anyone would really enjoy this if they are familiar with turmeric.

This mix was easy to prepare--just add water and butter, which is optional, bring to a boil and then simmer for about 25 minutes. It had a typical chicken flavor. There were very few vegetables in it--just a few diced peppers from what I could tell. I would have liked to see more vegetables in there to give it some layers of flavor. I also found this rice to be quite salty. The box said 700mg of sodium per 1 cup serving. I paired it with chicken breast which I easoned with just pepper, as anything salty would have been too much. So, overall, I found the rice easy to prepare, but it just tasted like most of the other chicken flavored mixes on the market--overly salty and typical.

I was expecting something more flavorful with the seasoning I saw in it, but the rice doesn't seem to absorb the seasoning as I would expect. Did cook well and easy to make.

I made it alone , with broccoli and chicken , with birria tacos , with steak and bits of fresh onion . So many options to jave it alone ot pair it with .
