Apparently the ingredients have changed, “hydrolyzed corn protein” has been added. However, the online ingredient list does not reflect this change. With my corn allergy, I sadly can no longer eat this product and wish I would’ve known the ingredients had changed before I bought this product.

I've been using this Jambalaya Rice Mix for years! It WAS well seasoned w/noticeable dehydrated veggie pieces/spices. This "new flavor"is bland, no spices & the color is off. Won't ever buy again.
Jambalaya is very good

Im from the south. I miss being away from the food and culture. I am able to buy this locally and have a good taste of home. I also have taken overseas in my luggage to share with others and they were delighted to have a taste of the south. Roll Tide

Not sure what all the "new flavor" hub-bub is about? We're from New Orleans and have been using Zatarain's products for many years. I was very concerned when I saw all the bad reviews on this website... but we cooked up a batch of Zatarain's Jambalaya RIce Mix last night and it was terrific, just as it has been for years! Out of curiosity, I called the Zatarain's hotline and was told that the only product "change" is with the 40-ounce packages of Jamalaya mix (restaurant size?) which is apparently manufactured at a different plant than the regular 8 oz or 12 oz packages that we get at our grocery store. Unless the "New Flavor" hasn't made it to southern California yet?

I read some of these reviews knocking the improved flavor, and honestly, our family strongly disagrees! The improved flavor is SO much better. In fact, I just made 2 family boxes of the old version and couldn't eat it. It was WAY too spicy. While there are people out there that like the original flavor better due to the spice, the improved flavor is definitely more appealing to the majority of the population that do not like "super spicy". Perhaps a suggestion to sell the original flavor as "spicy" and the improved flavor as mild. Make everyone happy. Either way, please keep the improved flavor available to those of us who don't care for the original. Thanks so much!!

What did you do? Just had the new flavor jambalaya, it is terrible. My wife and I looked at each other after having it. Loved the old jambalaya but done with this crap.

Have been buying the Reduced Sodium Jambalaya mix for years. The last box I made today tastes different. It is bland and the color is different. What happened? I will be sticking to the Bourbon Chicken from now on. Please don't change that recipe.

Been buying for some time however won't be buying anymore unless the product goes back to original ingredients, the last one I bought was thrown in the trash, it was nasty. ALL THESE PRODUCTS FROM COMPANIES TELL US THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE but for those of us who been eating this can tell the difference, you can't fool the consumer.

Bland compared to the original flavor. I am sure the change was done as a means to cut costs and it shows. Will never buy this product again as it is nothing like the previous original. Bottom line, don't waste your money on this product unless bland is what you're looking for.

The recipe used to be full of flavor but now it’s missing something. After the first day the flavor is lacking. You’ll have to add in more of your own. It doesn’t have as much of the vegetable pieces in it as well. It was just rice and seasoning mostly.
New flavor is not good.

I loved this mix for a quick dinner with smoked sausage. The new flavor ruined a great meal. Too spicy and lacks good flavor. Please go back to the original flavor.

We love this Jambalaya! It's super easy to whip up and very flavorful. I love that it's not full of preservatives--thank you for the minimal ingredients, McCormick.

Been eating your Jambalaya for 20 years. Bought the box "with cheese" by mistake. It is terrible. It's just cheesy rice and nothing Jambalaya about it.

Love the product but you really need to get your liquid boiling before you put in the jambalaya mix. Otherwise you end up with mush!

Cheese should never be in jambalaya I accidentally bought it with cheese in tiny letters, please change the box color so this doesn't happen again I had to throw out my dinner for 5. It was disgusting. The normal jambalaya is great we eat it a lot, please stop making it with cheese or make the with cheese very very big. Thank you
