1. Empty refried beans into small saucepan.
2. Heat over LOW until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
Microwave
1. Empty refried beans into microwave-safe bowl; cover.
2. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring halfway through.

Please listen to this review and all the other bad ones. I didn’t listen to the other bad ones and I ended up with a can of dry, nasty, inedible dog food instead of refried beans. I’m not sure why these are still for sale anywhere.

Changed now with a horrible grainy texture
Used to like these a lot. Have a small amount of whole beans in them. Still do but the overall texture is horrible. Canned refried beans are never great but somehow they've managed to make them worse with the most off putting grainy texture. Stay away.

Satisfied Overall - Better Than People Say
I think some of the other reviewers had unrealistic expectations for store brand refried beans. I used these to make copycat Taco Bell burritos and they came out delicious. On their own, they could use more salt. I also wish the can had a pull tab instead of requiring a can opener. Those are my only complaints, though. Overall satisfied! Will buy again.

I don’t know what I expected from these 😭 They do not taste good but I am used to eating fresh refried beans so maybe that’s why? But still, I think other Latin brands offer better quality canned refried beans. Don’t buy these just to save 50 cents lol.

Weird texture
These were just not good. We couldn’t even eat them, we through them out. The flavor is ok but they were very dry and yet had this gelatinous sort of texture at the same time. Won’t be buying these again.
