    High Fructose Corn Syrup - Bad Product Choices

    This has high fructose corn syrup. “Log Cabin” syrup, which tastes much better than this has no high fructose corn syrup, but Target has made the negative decision not to sell Log Cabin syrup and has chosen to sell this unhealthy and harmful syrup instead.

    Decent alternative

    Obviously this isn’t “real” syrup. (As another commenter mentioned.) It’s a cheaper alternative. It’s a decent option for the occasional pancake breakfast. Good taste! We used to get the Log Cabin syrup because it doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup, but our local target stopped carrying it. If we were eating syrup all the time we’d opt for “actual” syrup, but this is a tasty option that’s cheaper and it’s not ‘that bad’ if you’re just having it once in awhile and if you focus on healthier, regular foods more often. Things are fine in moderation. Leaving four stars because I still wish it didn’t have the high fructose corn syrup. Every affordable alternative on the shelf had hfcs so we just settled for this. Tasty! But still just a once in awhile thing. (:
