This type of packaging does not allow the transfer of oxygen to the meat, and therefore, the meat odor builds up in the package. When the package is first opened and, the odor can be strong. The meat should be allowed to breathe for about 5 minutes (maximum). The odor should dissipate leaving no foul smell. Blood sausage!
So I’m wondering if anyone else has had some questions about the color. Just read the label and it says color does not reflect freshness. I cooked it up and it has a very dark color to it. Like it’s been dyed red. Not gonna get from T again. Sorry.

Without the additional fat found in most meats, our beef typically cooks in 1/3 less time compared with high-fat commodity beef. Cooking past medium can lead to a decrease in moisture and a less tender texture. Tasty ground beef
Best tasting ground beef I've had for a long time,I've tried other "good quality brands" but the smell were hideous while being cooked. Try Laura's brand you'll like it. Pricey but worth it.

Off Odor
The product was far from expired but had a very strong off odor. I’ve never smelt something like that before with ground beef. It didn’t seem to get much better as it was cooked. I was expecting a better quality product. Will not buy again or recommend.

Dont buy if its anywhere near the sell by date!
Target had this on the shelves 2 days past it’s sell by date (that’s on me, I should have checked more diligently) but the sell by date is not the best by date and when I opened it up the meat was ROTTEN. I can’t even return it because I don’t want to bring it in the car because of how bad it smells. Almost 8 dollars down the drain.
