No hold
This has almost no hold whatsoever. I have tried it several times now (just sitting indoors, no wind, humidty, etc.) and it's like I did not even apply hairspray. I've definitely used other hairsprays that were more effective for less cost. The only good thing is the nozzle as it does achieve a fine mist... but like a mist of air that has no real effect. Really disappointing.

Make sure to read the ingredients because it says it’s unscented but it has perfume as an ingredient and has a strong fragrance smell.

The new formula SUCKS!
Why did you ruin the formula???? The new white cap formula is awful. It doesn't hold AT ALL! I've been loyal to this brand for over twenty years but after finishing my last can with the black cap, I am DONE! Not only does the new formula make my hair flat, it also burns my throat and gives me a headache!

this reformulated product is Trash
I decided to try this product for a slightly extra hold with a the use of a firm pomade , was looking for a hairspray that wouldn't give that crunch feeling . well it did meet that expectation I suppose but hair came flopping down after 3 hours at work at didn't feel great . Note: the scent is bad and lingers quite a bit .

Love this hairspray. I have thick hard to curl hair and it holds it the best - and I love that I can brush it our and leave it fluffy. I despise that crunch feeling in my hair. Works well on my daughters' hair too.

Not For Me
This is not unscented. It smelled like 80’s hairspray to me. I have many allergies and am very sensitive to certain smells. It also irritated the sides of my neck with little sores where hair spray went when spraying my hair. Target should sell Salon Geaffix unscented. That is the only one I can use.

Not Unscented and a. Big Disappointment
This is not unscented and bothers my allergies. It smells like old 80s hairspray. Also, it seems to be irritating my skin. I am very disappointed. I will not buy it again.

Misleading Name!
Beware of the misleading name. If you check the ingredients, there’s fragrance in here, I’m guessing as a masking agent. If it’s just your nose that’s sensitive, this might work for you. But if your skin/scalp is sensitive to artificial fragrances, this isn’t the hairspray for you!

Why???
I am so bummed. This used to be the best hairspray ever, but is now useless. I didn’t realize there had been a formula change until my most recent repurchase. I was wondering why it suddenly had ZERO hold in my hair with this new can…a little research showed it was “reformulated”. It is so upsetting to me that so many companies are now “reformulating “ what were once perfectly good products into something much worse. Make it stop!!! :-(

Best soft-hold, unscented hairspray I've tried!
Lots of pro's to this hairspray, so it's definitely worth the price. The hold level is soft, despite the label stating "extra strong hold," but that's perfect. Adding another layer or two gives me a longer hold that's still soft and never crunchy. It sprays as a light mist with no nozzle clogging or need for cleaning the nozzle. It truly is unscented too, no strong chemical smell like some other "unscented" hairsprays. Excellent hairspray that I hope L'Oreal continues to make for a LONG time!

New formula is a fail. Bring back the old formula!
I have used this hairspray for many many years and loved it. It was the best and I had always kept extra cans on hand and when those ran out recently I purchased more. The new cans I purchased are obviously a new formula and sadly it is awful. It has no hold whatsoever and it leaves a residue on my hair that makes it fall limp and gives my normally shiny hair a dull appearance. You ruined a wonderful product. I don’t understand why companies do this. After many years of being a loyal Elnett customer I will no longer buy this product and will be on the hunt for a new hairspray. Hoping after seeing many of the same negative reviews all over the internet regarding the formula change that you will bring back the old formula.
