    Peet’s was sold and the coffee is now is horrible

    Recently, I had posted a concern that my French Roast coffee did not taste or smell the same. The coffee tasted like it was cheap and bitter Totally contrary to what the French Roast has been. So I did my research and I found out why. Peet’s was sold on October 2025 to Keurig. It didn’t take them long to dumb down and cheap in the coffee for more profit. The new French roast is incredibly horrible. Does anybody have an idea of any coffee that is similar but not Peet’s? They totally ruined the brand

    Fresh French roast is more bitter than supermarket

    I bought Peet’s french roast at the supermarket and I liked it but the fresh beans are definitely different flavors. More bitter for sure and not my favorite.

    What changed?

    Is it just me, or has the deep roast flavor disappeared? Moka pot, dialed in for a couple of years, really good coffee, the last two bags or so, flat - the appearance of the beans is not as "oily" - what's going on?

    Love Peet's Coffee!

    I am a long-term user of Peet's coffee, specifically their French Roast. Great coffee that retains it's smoothness even when prepared strong. I'm just sorry there are no Peet's coffee shops here in Idaho!

    Strong yet refined...

    I find some versions of French Roast have a sharp or burnt edge to the taste, but Peets turns out a first-rate coffee. I have been buying mostly Major Dickason's Blend in recent months, but French Roast is definitely in the rotatiion now...
