  • A: That is a great question, and we will be more than happy to assist! All of our fully cooked breaded products are briefly fried in a highly refined soybean oil for 20 seconds or less and then baked the remaining of the cooking time. Hope this helps!

    DECEPTIVE LABELING!!! Fried in Soy Oil

    This company is deceptive by frying in soy oil and not labeling it. Families trying to avoid seed oils and soy and getting duped!

    Hi there, just to clarify your doubts, The oil in this product is used for frying, not as an ingredient in the formulation and is an Organic Soybean Oil. It is considered an incidental additive (processing aid) by both the USDA-FSIS Labeling group, our Organic Certifier and, by regulation, is not required to be labeled.

    Horrible quality now

    I have been buying these chicken nuggets for a year now and the quality dramatically went down. The left nuggets are what they used to look like and the right is what they are like now. They do not brown anymore and they taste horrible.

    You guys changed the recipe, eh?

    These were my daughter’s (and my!) favorite frozen nuggets. We’re not even GF but kept these on hand for her GF friend. When we discovered how good they were we stopped buying regular nuggets. They don’t get crispy golden brown anymore. They’re like pale and more mushy. So bummed.

    Bring back the original formula.

    We go through a bag of these a week and I have three bags that my kids won’t eat now… they changed the recipe and they are legitimately gross now. At first we thought the kids were exaggerating until we tasted them. So we opened two more bags same issue. These will be going in the trash and we will be on the hunt for a new gluten free nugget option.

    Not the same...

    These nuggets were so great with my wheat allergies but I just got a bag not that long ago and they have changed. Super pale, tastes dry/tough, just overall not appealing. Shame. Probably won't buy again for a while until it's back to the way they used to be.

    New Breading is Terrible

    These used to be the best gluten free nuggets out there but they changed the breading on them and the quality is much lower than before. I had 3 left in an older bag and made them with 3 of the new nuggets. Look at the attached photos. The old ones look like regular nuggets that brown and crisp up and taste incredible. The new ones are pale in color and never brown. They're also smaller for the same price, and they dont taste as good. They're still edible but not anywhere near as good as they were. Some of us who have no choice but to pay more for nuggets that aren't as good as normal ones. We don't need you to make them even worse. Looking at other reviews here it seems that Perdue's answer is to ask us to contact them directly. How is that supposed to help? Are you going to make the older, better nuggets just for those of us who aren't able to get them now? I know you only care about making money but this seems like a bad business decision when so many people no longer like a product we used to love. I'm very disappointed.
