A flaky, itchy scalp may not always be dandruff. Flaking could be residue from a build-up of hairsprays or other grooming products. If you have a dry, itchy, flaking scalp that does not improve after using anti-dandruff shampoo/conditioner for 6 weeks you should speak to your doctor. Also, hair can look and feel dry if it is not conditioned enough. We would recommend using a richer conditioner as well as implementing a conditioning treatment two or three times a week into your hair care routine.
