  • A: We recommend following the suggested use as stated on the label of your product, especially soft gels that are enteric coated. However, we show that this product is not enteric coated. Therefore, the soft gels may be punctured and mixed with yogurt, applesauce or beverage that is not hot. Please note, it is possible that full potency may not be obtained by puncturing and removing the liquid content of the soft gel, as some of the active component may be remaining in the gelatin capsule.     D-3 Animal or Plant Based?

    My Doctor recommenced I take 4000iu of D-3 daily so included these with my daily vitamins. After doing some research about the D-3 sources used by most manufacturers, I find out that most use lanolin. Since your supplement facts does not state the source of the D-3 I have to assume you are not using plant based source. Also the fact that it contains soybean oil I decided to try other products that verify plant based source and no vegetable oil.

    Pretty tiny supplement so it is easy to take. I have no idea if it’s working or not but will hopefully feel it in the winter when it’s grey outside!

    Effective

    I'm taking your product for my deficiency needs. I do prefer to eat my nutrients but Vitamin D fortification foods just doesn't get me there. This supplement has been effective for me. I was able to get my levels from subtherapeutic to therapeutic using this product. I would rate it a 5 if you didn't use a terrible oil like soybean oil as the carrier though. Why not use something better for us? Heck I would prefer powdered form inside a soft gel capsule to the soybean oil. Luckily I don't eat processed foods so the tiny amount in your gel caps likely isn't hurting my health much but these highly processed oils are in everything processed along with sugars. They promote inflammation and are harming people according to emerging research evidence. Why not get ahead of it and change that feature of your product? Consumers are going to start demanding it. I'm now looking for a product that uses a healthier ingredient or just omits it altogether.

    Confused: white tablets included with the D3 softg

    I bought 180 Vit. D3 softgels and found a handful of white unmarked tablets. Cannot find an explanation anywhere on the packaging labels or NatureMade's website. Assume the tablets may be desiccants, but reluctant to take gels because of probable contamination. What are the tablets made of? How do consumers know the tablets might be unhealthy or contain an allergen??

    Seem To Work

    It's hard to know if vitamins work unless you have a deficiency, but these seem to. I haven't had any issues anyway. They are teeny tiny little capsules, which I like, because they take very little effort to swallow.

    Vitamin D3 recommended

    Since my rheumatologist wanted me to take vitamin D3, I decided to go with nature Made. Because all the vitamins I take will be from nature Made. They are the ones that I trust the most to be all natural and healthy.

    Does not seem like the real product

    Something is wrong, the original D3 says gluten free and also says it’s USP certified (something like that)…I don’t feel safe taking this. Also the seal came off so easily.

    The best of the best

    My spouse does not like the tablets as he has trouble swallowing them. These are the perfect solution. Additionally this product is USP tested so we are confident of the actual amount of vitamin D3 in each softgel.
