Q: Can you cook these in a skillet/fry pan? Or do you have to use an oven?

A: Hello! Thank you for asking! Here are some cooking instructions for the stove top: Stovetop: Heat skillet on medium heat. Brown the outside of the meatballs for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Then, lower the temperature to medium-low, add ¼ cup water, or enough water to cover the bottom of the pan, and cover for about 15-18 minutes until a minimum inside temperature of 165°F is reached. (For best results, cook until 185°F.) Stovetop with tomato sauce: Heat skillet on medium heat. Brown the outside of the meatballs for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Then, lower the temperature to medium-low, add about 12 oz. or 1 1/2 cups of tomato sauce, and cover for about 20-26 minutes until a minimum inside temperature of 165°F is reached. These are a good quality meatball, but I only purchase them when I can get them on clearance. It is a good shortcut way if you don’t feel like making up from scratch and they are definitely a better quality than frozen..

I wanted something quick and easy for dinner. Picked these up at the market, took them home, pan seared and placed in my sauce. I found them to lack flavor and the texture was rubbery. I will not be buying them again but it doesn't mean they won't be delicious to the next person.

I have had these before and they were tasty but I did it like trying to get all the meatballs off of the grey styrofoam carton. I had to put them in water to get the material off of them.

Tasted like sausage not meatball. Should be labeled as sausage flavored. A meal ruiner if your family likes meatball and not sausage. Only coy responses from the company about taste profiles. They must not eat out very often if they think these don't taste like sausage.

My first purchase as I thought I would try them on a BOGO deal. Sorry to say, they had a poor taste to both my husband and I, threw the rest away after trying a few , baked in oven as directed. They had a poor texture to us as well.

Yes, they are gluten free. You might think "awesome! Gluten free meatballs!" But once you taste them, you will think "così shifoso!" Upon further inspection, they 100% pork, made by Smithfield. They obviously figure out a way to use some of their pork scraps. Steer clear! - Celiac Italian

I still can't find a good frozen or premade fresh meatball company. I thought this would've been the one but completely unedible as it had way to much salt and a pork texture and taste. Meatballs were hard and loaded with grease. Avoid.

Are you looking for fork tender meatballs? Then these are not it. These are bad. Simmered for a long time in sauce and they were still so hard and just tasted bad, didn't realize they were straight pork at the time. I mean didn't expect incredible frozen meatballs? But I was expecting edible, or tolerable. They are neither.

I agree with the other reviews. They are tough and salty. I cooked them in sauce to see that helped but it did not help :(. I also could not find the expiration date.
