Q: Will this work on top of china closed ledge. What holds the long part in place

  • A: Thanks for question but that's difficult to answer without seeing the ledge to which you're referring. The MantleClip is meant for fireplace mantels and tabletops ranging in thicknesses of 1 to 3 inches. There are 2 pads on each MantleClip, one on the lower curvature and another on the longer/top part - those pads protect from scratches but they also "grip" the surfaces they're touching (i.e. this is what keeps them in place, to your other question).   • A: No, they are only made to adjust on mantel ledges up to 3 inches thick.

They look amazing on my counter where I have them since I don’t have a mantle. They came quickly. They can go .5 inch to 3 inches I believe which is perfect! You just push it closer together or pull it farther away depending on your desired placement. Would definitely recommend!
