    Not worth it

I bought the 17 piece classic and have pitting on the bottom of several sauce pans but the most disappointing was the 8 quart stock pot. The first time I went to use it I saw all the cracks and dents. This pan would not even hold water. I am very sorry I purchased this set of pans because I don't believe any of them are worth the cost.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Chef's Classic™ Stainless 17 Piece Set. Pitting can sometimes occur when salt is added to cold water or cookware is not thoroughly cleaned after use, but cracks, dents, or a stockpot that will not hold water are not expected. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901097794 so we can gather additional details and assist with available options. Thank you for sharing your feedback; it has been forwarded to the appropriate team, and we appreciate you taking the time to bring these concerns to our attention.

Perfectly sized and best purchase ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE THIS PAN!! Perfect size for big pan dinners and sauces and also I love the glass lid fits perfectly. The weight of this pan is my favorite part of it as well nice and heavier and sturdy. Easy to clean and take care of. I am purchasing another as well since I cook a lot and can use a second for sure. I’ve used others in the past but completely switched to Cuisinart for life now.

    Chef's Classic Stainless 17 Piece

This is my first time transitioning from teflon to stainless steel. So far it has come to getting use to it by cooking on low fire and making sure we take care of the pots as soon as we use them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a set of these pots. I bought them about 3 Christmas' ago. I love them and I'm so pleased, I am going to purchase two more sets. One will go to my daughter. I love consistency of sturdiness and the level of heat range.

    No regrets in 26 yrs

I bought a set in around 2020 to replace the warped Revereware cookware (of 1970's era & of course, thier 'warranty' didn't cover warping, a very common problem) that didn't work on a glass cooktop. I have never regretted this purchase..Haven't used the skillets much as I don't care for fried foods. Everything still looks brand new. If cookware doesn't clean up well, I add HOT water & boil it, & then it cleans up perfectly. I use saucepans & steamer basket the most. Mostly handwash everything, very occasional dishwasher cleaned.

    New Pans are Great!

I just received this set of pans on April 29. Used today for lunch and they are great. Yes, I prepped appropriately, followed instructions and still had some sticking. So, here's what to do: option 1: make a pan sauce which is what I already intended. Once the tasty fond develops (browned bits), add some liquid (I added 1 cup of boiling water from the pan I was using to cook pasta), once the hot water was added, all of the browned bits lifted from the pan. Option 2: If not making a pan sauce, you can also add the extremely hot water to lift the stuck bits...be careful not to add cool water or you may have a self-inflicted problem. My husband also appreciates how shiny they are -- said he could probably use them as a mirror for shaving. ;-)

    First set of cookware

My husband and I decided on this set of cookware to start married life with. I couldn't be more pleased! I haven't had the chance to use all the pieces yet, but the several I have, have been fantastic. If we need to expand our selection of cookware in the future, Cuisinart will definitely make the top of the list. Definitely recommend!

    So dissapointed

I have purchased several pieces of individual pots. 2 of the pots have started to have the finish wear off on the bottom and are pitting. I still have and used my 60 year old Farberware pots that are in perfect condition. I am completely frustrated with the Cuisinart new pots.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Chef's Classic™ Stainless Saucepan, and we’re sorry to hear about the finish wear and pitting you’ve encountered. To help preserve the cookware’s appearance and performance, we recommend using low to medium heat, avoiding rapid temperature changes, and cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners designed for stainless steel. Our Consumer Assistance Center is available at 1-800-726-0190 and can review your concerns in detail—please reference Ticket #8900576020 when you call. Awesome set, bigger pots have challenges.

I bought this set 6 months ago and while yes, there is a learning curve, they were working beautifully until I went to unload my dishwasher that ran in a normal cycle and discovered my 8qt stockpot had split in the walls of the pot and was extremely upset. However, upon doing a bit of research seems that this is common for this pot and there are a few posts in Reddit with it. Seems like a manufacturing issue.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 7 months ago
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re very sorry to hear about the issue with your stockpot. To help prevent damage, we recommend hand washing larger pots and avoiding high-heat dishwasher cycles, as rapid temperature changes can sometimes affect performance. Our team would be happy to review the issue and discuss possible solutions. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8900559109 for assistance.

    Stainless steel forever

It's a very good product. Exactly what I expect from cuisinart. I've had them a year and haven't been disappointed. I love the versatility, sear on the stove toss in oven to finish. The larger pans are great for 1 pot dinners. 2 of mine do have manufacturer defects which is why I gave 4 not 5 stars but don't affect performance. Since these are composite do not put in dishwasher or soak the entire pan in water. Stainless steel cookware is the way to go. Better performance than nonstick and less maintenance than cast iron. This is best budget option I have seen.

    Awful

Absolutely everything sticks to these pans. Potatoes, eggs, you name it - the worst pans I’ve ever had. I’ve tried “seasoning” with oil and cooking in ample amounts of oil. I would not recommend.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 8 months ago
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the 77-17N stainless-steel set and appreciate you sharing your feedback. Stainless steel requires preheating the pan before adding oil and allowing food to naturally release once properly seared, as adding food too early can cause sticking. We would be happy to walk through detailed cooking tips to help you achieve the best performance from your cookware. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8900522096 for assistance.

    Love this set

Very high quality set. I absolutely love it. It’s my first stainless steel set and there is a learning curve for the nonstick frying pans, but if you watch some videos and read about cooking with them you can do it easily. The handles on the pans themselves have stayed cool for me, but I did have one lid that got too hot to touch. I definitely recommend buying Barkeeper’s Friend cleaner to have on hand to clean the pans with if you have tough stains, or if it gets discolored. The discoloration is not damaging to the pan and the cleaner takes it away. Otherwise I just use Dawn soap.
