Q: how far does this coverlet hang over the edges, on the sides in particular?

  • A: Hi Lucy! It depends on your mattress size. Queen mattresses are 60” x 80” and the queen coverlet is 90" x 96" so with these dimensions, there will be approximately 8" on each side. I hope this helps!

I like the quilted coverlet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recieved this product from Influenster in return for my my honest review. I love this quilted coverlet. I got in the ivory color. It feels like really good quality, like durable. It came in a size king and it fits my bed perfectly. It was packaged neatly. Will be recommending!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this quilt. The color makes it so easy to match any sheets. It fit perfect on my king size bed. Is very light nothing to heavy so it makes it even more comfortable. Very is to wash at home and don’t need an heavy duty washer since is not thick at all and most importantly it didn’t shrink at all after drying it.

Size down, not bright white

I have a full size bed and ordered the queen after reading the comments and it's perfect after washing and fully drying. Note it isn't bright white but nearly an ivory. It is like a heavy blanket so it's perfect for summer or hot sleepers like me!

Horrible smell

Received the item and as soon as I opened the box I knew there was a problem. The color is nice, the texture is good. The smell is horrible. The plastic the item was packaged in smelled like rotten eggs. The coverlet and shams smelled the same. I don't think I should have to launder a brand new king size quilt and sham set to be able to use it with no guarantee the smell will come out. Will be returning. This is the second time I have had this problem with bedding bought on line. Then I had a second small charge on my credit card after the original charge. Will find out why.

Great Value

I've been looking for a white matelasse coverlet for my king size bed for a while, they are so expensive. I think I bought my queen sized one at Linens and Things, which is out of business, I've looked at TJs but hadn't had any luck there for the king. Found this at Target online and took a chance. It is very nice. About the quality you would expect for $100. All cotton. Feels nice. Styling is a bit old fashioned, but we have a dog and I didn't want to pay double that for a really nice one. It's plenty big enough, so I'm planning on putting it in the dryer when I wash it, plenty of room in case it shrinks a bit.
