A: Hi Dee, Yes, the neck straps have a ring to adjust by sliding or there are 2 straps to tie together so they can grow w/child.

Hi D, Sorry to hear that you found the material too stiff. The Kids Apron sets are cotton twill for durability and also less wrinkled when coming out of wash. The cotton will soften up with each wash.
