submitted byskillett - 4 years agoA: Not advisable, especially as this is a Double Ball Curtain Rod the rods alone are heavier not to mention the double curtains which we don't recommend to be over 20 lbs. when properly installed using the brackets.

Q: I can't figure out how to assemble the smaller (2nd) rod. One of the rods has a blockage that prevents me from connecting it to any other rod.

A: I had this same problem. I took off the finials and then rearranged everything. I was able to make it work. What a pain though. The manufacturer didn't seem to put much though into that.

This is the biggest piece of garbage I’ve ever bought. It says it extends to 120” and that’s not even remotely true. I’m 6’3” and this rod is maybe 80” at its best, barely taller than I am. The extension for the big rod is this weird little thin piece that doesn’t make any sort of connection letting it slide in and out as it pleases. For some reason the smaller rod has no extension and it came with an extra rod replacement for the big rod which has a screw on one end for the ball end piece. It’s barely worth the one star I gave it. So glad I wasted $50 of this atrocious piece of crap.
Arrived dented. Would like a replacement, but it's out of stock.

The box says 66” minimum, but I have it at the smallest setting by following the directions, and it’s over 80” long. So if you’re getting it for something on the smaller end, I’d look elsewhere. Overall I do like it, but it looks less than ideal, especially with the curtains closed.

Perfect for what I needed for hanging a curtain in a wide window. I used this with the Ritva curtains from Ikea and it withold the times I dismounted the curtains to clean them and hang them again. My only pet peeve was that I needed to unscrew the rod from the holder, remove the rod, and slide it to the side to remove the curtain rings. This is minor. I was expecting it to be flimsy but was surprised its construction was not.

Installing this would have been much easier if it weren't for the weak metal in the mounting screws This is not unusual now days, but because of the poor quality metal, the screws all stripped very easily. They also they weren't really long enough to penetrate the stud very far. I ended up finding random screws in the garage and used a black sharpie to make the color of the screw head match. I have yet to completely install the lower screws because the stripped and I didn't have enough spares. So, as of this moment, they are not secure. Hopefully once the new screws are installed, it will be secure. Otherwise, I'll have to return the rod. I open and close my curtains daily, they need to be very secure. Also, the supplied screws didn't fit the included drywall anchors. I was able to find studs that I could screw into, but that isn't always possible and wasn't my preferred mounting point.

The curtain rod is inadequately packaged. The tape tore so easily. The ends are scratched from where they abraded the box. The finishing seems shoddy anyway because even the bar itself is messed up.

Not as described. The shortest the inner rod will go is 84 inches, because the finial cannot be attached without using all three rods. As a result the rod sticks out way past the curtains and looks rather silly. Also do not like that you cannot twist the telescoping rods to lock them in place so they are sliding all over the place while trying to put the curtains up. Would return if it were not already on my wall.

I liked how pretty they are. As far as curtain rods go, these are very pleasant. I also could put them up myself without needing any help from my dad. It says you need power tools but you really don’t. I also saw online using a manual screwdriver to put on the drywall anchors is actually better than using a power tool. 10/10 would recommend.
