Q: Why can’t this be used in an enclosed fixture? I have a ceiling fixture with a glass globe. This isn’t high wattage so what would be the problem? What should I use instead?

Arrived scratched up to a shocking degree

The bulb works in my dimmer lamp, but holy sandpaper, Batman! This supposedly brand new bulb arrived completely scratched up, and even with a tiny chip in the glass. It's harder to see on the unlit bulb - the scratches almost look like little bits of fuzz all over it. Then you light it up and WHOA. Scratch/smudge/chip city. It looks awful and I'm very disappointed. This is the second GE bulb I've gotten like this, so I wonder if their manufacturing process doesn't protect the glass well enough. Hey, Target, please start carrying Feit vintage LEDs instead!

Doesn't last

It’s aesthetically beautiful but it literally only lasted a month and a half before it burnt out.

I didn’t know it was all scratched up and looked used until I got home. It also costs more in the store. Make sure to check the bulb for scratches before you purchase in store. I wish there were more bulb glass sizes. The smallest size available is really big.
