Bone in ground turkey
This used to be my go to brand. But for the last month or so it has had bits of bone in it. I bought another brand for a month and then went back hoping it was a fluke but it still has bits of bone in it. Something changed in your processing. I no longer trust this brand.

Yes, your brand is all I buy.
Years ago I sent in and received 2 Jennie-O paper back cook books. They were lost in our move. I am looking for a recipe called "Sloppy Toms" the ingredients were ground turkey, onions, ketchup, mustard, etc. including chopped dill pickles. My kids loved and want to make it for their own fam. Could you please send me the recipe. I can't find it on line or your web site. Thank you.

I will not buy this brand again, due to bone fragments.
I have been purchasing this brand for over a year. However, over the past three months, I've discovered bone fragments in the ground turkey on multiple occasions. Due to this recurring issue, I will no longer be purchasing this brand.

Not 16 oz!
I weighed the contents of the package on my kitchen scale and I got 15 oz. From reading other comments, this is not a one off. This is very disheartening especially since the prices have increased.

Turkey is a high moisture meat and meat purges over time. The soaker pad is absorbing the purge and the result is a ground product that appears to be underweight because the consumer is portioning it out and cannot recover the lost meat juice.

Just no
Meal prepped two packages of the 93% lean, it smelled bad when I opened it (still a week from exp date) and I should have trusted my nose... After 90 min and a messy kitchen, i tasted a bite and spit it out. There's a weird smell and you can taste it too. Yuck!

The 85/15 turkey has a terrible consistency
I have purchased the 85/15 3lbs tubes of ground turkey twice on separate occasions and both times the finish dish was a combination of mushy and weirdly gritty. I have made this recipe (meatballs) dozens of times with other brands and not had these issues. I would strongly recommend against purchasing this product until Jennie-O addresses the underlying quality issue.

Very disappointed. Do not recommend.
Very disappointed. I bought two packages of 2.5 pounds of ground turkey and they each weighed only 2.11 pounds, INCLUDING packaging. What a rip off. And yes, my scale IS accurate.

Used to be good but needs some serious quality control
I have bought this ground turkey for years but have lately found bone fragments to the point that I feel like it's going to break my teeth. I thought it might be a bad batch but we're months in at this point.

Product is great, but the weight difference is a problem
I've seen a lot reviews stating that the 3lb package isn't actually 3lbs by the time the customer brings it home or uses it. I also discovered the same thing in which the 3lb pack I bought was a few ounces less when I opened it and parced it out. Seems like Jennie-O knows about this issue. What I don't understand is why they keep letting this happen? If you know that the weight of a product is yours heavily influenced by "water weight", why not at least state that directly on the product for accuracy and transparency? Why fall behind excuses when customer loyalty is at stake? Why continue to use materials and processes that continue to short change your customers?

Buy it all the time!
I buy this regularly from Target. It's a better price than the grocery store and a great size for a family

Bone shards
Been buying this brand for a couple of years now. The taste is always great, but just about every time I eat it, I end up picking little bone shards out of my teeth. This most recent package was the worst so far, so I think I'm going to have to switch brands.

I won't be buying this product again
I've been buying Jennie O for years and loved it. However, the last several times I bought it there were so many bone fragments that it's grossed me out. My son got one of the fragments stuck in his gum that required a dental visit. That was the last straw. I'm so disappointed that the quality doesn't appear to be a priority. Yes, the taste was good. But now we are too paranoid to eat it. I wish I would have save the package from my last experience, but I didn't think I would need it.

A bit disappointed
My family has purchased your ground turkey for years. I was portioning out a 3lb package to store 2lbs in the freezer. Turned out there wasn't even 3lbs in the package. It was 3 ounces less. Not a huge deal but your package shouldn't state 3lbs when it isn't.

false advertising, innaccurate weight not accounted for
several ounces short between two 48 ounce packages. Not accounted for in water weight from the diaper in the package. That didn't weight anything near the weight of the missing meat. This is scammy for sure. I wrote the company 3 times and no one has responded to me. Highly unprofessional.

Jules, Our production facilities have a system in place where the scales that are used are calibrated on a regular basis. Scales which are used are required to be certified in accordance with State Weights and Measures requirements.
Turkey is naturally high in moisture. All meats contain proteins that act like sponges holding water. As a meat product ages, is processed or cut, the proteins lose their ability to retain water. The meat will begin to release some of the water, called purge. The pad that is placed under the meat is absorbing this moisture. The result is a product that appears to be underweight since you cannot recover the purge that has been absorbed into the pad.

Unacceptable weight discrepancy
Some weight loss is to be expected but 9 ounces from a 48 ounce package is not acceptable and highly unlikely to be accurately weighed when packaged.

Save the trouble and buy another brand
Purchased 4x 3lb packages. I weigh out my food. All packages were short between 3-4 ounces of meat. There are also other particles and fragments that look to be bones in the meat. Spend the extra and get quality ground turkey.

Do not buy their 3lb packages, as you don't get 3 lbs
I purchased the 3lb container of 85% lean ground turkey. I wanted to freeze into 3 one pound bags. Jennie-o short changed me 2.5 oz of meat. You owe me. False advertising

So many small bone pieces in there!
I love the taste of this but unfortunately, there are so many bone pieces in the meat. I'm not talking about 1 or 2, I'm talking like every third bite.
