A: This is made of vinyl. This is not heat resistant. I would not put this on the wall where the fireplace is.

A wonderful alternative
Love my new backsplash. I is an impressive, inexpensive option until I decide what I want to do permanently. Prior to the installation, which was very simple, it was an unusual painted surface that could not be washed without some of the paint coming off. Love the look and the ability to keep clean.
