Do you enjoy metal in your pho?
There seems to be a design/manufacturing defect in the carton. There were tiny metallic bits in the broth, either from the carton lining, or from the seal at the top that gets torn when you twist the plastic cap. Absolutely do not recommend.

I think what people are failing to realize is that, as the title states, this is a broth. It’s a soup starter-which are generally flavorless, although this one is deliciously and lightly flavored with Thai basil and ginger. If you want stronger flavor I suppose you can use two, but if you’re watering it down it will taste more bland. I add water, knorrs chicken bullion, thinly sliced baby bellas (or shiitakes), green onion, rice noodles, and shaved sirloin, and OMG 😳a new house staple that me and my picky eater daughter are always obsessed with! Tastes like home.

I picked this up for lentil soup - the flavor was absolutely incredible. I was really disappointed it wasn’t available the next time I made soup. I’m not viet and obviously this is not an authentic soup base, but the flavor it adds is intoxicating. Please pick it up if it’s in your store, you will NOT be disappointed!!

I had high hopes for this when I saw it but my goodness it's literally just brown water at this point. If you enjoy pho at restaurants, I recommend you do not buy this because the flavor is absent. Costcos' already-made pho bowls have MUCH more flavor than this. You've been warned

Ok, so I’ll admit, it’s not 100% like restaurant quality (well, that’s a given)… but it’s actually pretty darn good, especially for the price! I’ve noticed some people mentioned the flavor was lacking, but as long as you a cook the noodles in the broth, add green onions, onions, cilantro, beef, and sriracha, it’s quite delicious and makes for a cheap, quick, and easy meal!
