Directions
Rinse and remove any foreign material from beans.

Stovetop – to prepare entire package
1. Soak beans. Choose Quick or Overnight.
A. Quick – Bring 8 cups water and beans to a rapid boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cover. Let stand 1 hour; drain and rinse.
B. Overnight – Cover beans with 8 cups water. Let stand 6 to 8 hours; drain and rinse.
2. Cook beans. Bring 7 1/2 cups water (or broth) and soaked beans just to a boil; reduce heat and cover partway. Simmer gently over LOW heat 1 ½ to 2 hours or until beans are tender.
