Old
Watch out for the expiration date. I just realized the last couple of times I purchased them they only had two months left on them. Two months for dried beans is nearly expired. If you plan to store them for any amount of time, look elsewhere.

These are gourmet
The color is beautiful; I have spent big money on gourmet varities, but no more. These are very light with a light brown running through them just like gourmet. Fresh, excellent quality and quite large. I love the Good & Gather brands and buy them all the time. These pintos are going on my food storage list-going to order a dozen bags in the future. p.s. You actually do get a pound not like other stores with the 12 oz nonsense. I highly recommend these. Absolute quality.

Poor quality
These beans are old. Even right after you buy them. The last 2 bags I have tried to use to make baked beans do not soften no matter how long they are cooked. They are like little rocks. Per a google search that is likely because they are ore older than 1 year.

More pleased
Could go on and on with each of the Good and Gather lineup of beans, legumes, grains etc., but I’m not. Suffice to say they are easy to like and glad they are being offered. 4.1 Stars.

Good Deal Gone
This review is based on the price increase. The beans went from 0.99 cents to 1.29 to 1.59 in a matter of weeks. Why? What justifies such a rapid increase? I’m sure that Target could’ve kept the price at 99 cents and still made its bottom line. I buy beans every week due to a limited budget.

Would buy again!
So I have never purchased pinto beans before but used them to make a refried bean recipe. There was no debris or anything mixed in with the beans and they were perfect quality. Price was perfect and beans came out great!

Yum
I used these to make frijoles borrachos and Chilly. They are great! Easy way to limit the sodium in a dish by making your own beans.

Beans, the magical fruit
They are beans, not much to say. They make great refried beans. Nothing gross in the bag, no rocks or oddball items to pick through, just good pinto beans. Buy them, they’re good for you.
