Uses helps prevent sunburn, if used as directed with other sun protection measures (see Directions), decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun

Directions

Directions apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, at least every 2 hours, children under 6 months of age: ask a doctor Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m., 2 p.m., wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses

    Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Face Stick - easy to use

    I really prefer Sun Bum's SPF 50 Face Stick over their newest competitor (Freaks of Nature) because the "stick" is so much easier to apply and it fits well and lies flat within pockets. The other brand, while they have the right intent, has their version of a "stick" as a round cylinder and it also has an unpleasant smell which I think is coming from their plastic. Sun Bum forever!

    just buy it

    do people not realize that mineral sunscreen is going to leave a white cast? that’s the whole point of mineral sunscreen. anyways that white cast goes away once it’s soaked into the skin. it doesn’t glide as well either as other sunscreens because of the zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

    Awful.

    Wow I hate this. Really really hate this. For starters it smells awful. It's so thick and does NOT apply or glide on the skin easily. It's impossible to rub into the skin or blend. I'm so disappointed because I love the sun bum mineral face lotion in the tube. I wish I could get my money back.

    Not a fan

    I love that it's truly hypoallergenic - it really is just a stick of zinc - but the downside is that the application is really difficult, it rolls on like a very, very firm stick deodorant, and it leaves a very prominent white cast even on fair skin.

    White mineral stick provides better, sun protection than clear

    This version (the mineral white SPF 50 stick) provides significantly better sun protection than the clear SPF 50 stick. Our family has used every version of Sun Bum, for some reason the clear and mist versions do not protect as well. I’m not sure if their SPF is diminished or if they sweat off/rinse off easier but my family of redheads gets burned using them however with the mineral roll-on SPF 50 and this mineral SPF 50 stick we do not burn at all! Typically we only have to reapply once or twice for a five hour day at the beach/pool with great results. Sun Bum please don’t change this formula!!
