Q: I have fine, thin 2a/2b hair. Has anyone else with thin, fine, Caucasian hair tried this? I know different hair responds differently to oils and I’m worried this will weigh down my hair, but my scalp is dry so I need something.

A: Hi, I have fine/straight thinning hair. This is great! I find it best to use at night and wash out in the morning, otherwise my hair will be greasy. I recommend the Mielle rosemary shampoo as well!

A: I have very fine thin hair and I lost a lot of it postpartum. I absolutely love this product. I put it in three nights a week before bed and I wash my hair in the morning. The growth that came back was so fast! I’m currently nine months postpartum with my third and the little baby hairs are everywhere!
 For fine hair this is not something you can wear out. You have to use it at night and wash it out in the morning so it doesn’t look oily.

I tried using this after washing my hair and it left my hair so greasy! I then tried using is before washing my hair. That method works much better. I also put a very small amount in my ends after washing. It does leave me hairy really shiny. This would be great for someone with a dry hair and scalp. It was just a little too much for my hair and scalp type.

The oil is a bit too oily. It leaves an oil residue on your hair even after washing there is shine mix with oil. My hair did not break more or less and it was about It’s normal breakage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oil has a medium weight and a strong medicinal minty scent. The dropper makes application easy and the oil creates a bit of a tingle. I think it would be too heavy for me to apply all over my hair, but I have been trying it at my temples to invigorate the scalp and encourage hair growth. I think I will need a longer trial period before knowing how effective it is, but it’s something I wouldn’t mind using for a while.

Noticed no difference

Despite the strong smell I tried it for several weeks and noticed no difference in the health or condition of my hair or scalp. I have sampled other mielle products and I am convinced it's just not a good brand. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
