I love this oil! I use it on both my scalp and body. For my body, I mix it with lotion or use it on its own—a little goes a long way. The scent is perfect, and the price is just right. I even use a tiny drop after applying retinoid to my face, and it causes no irritation!

It smells amazing however it left scabs on my scalp , my daughter and my brother.

I'm a white guy with curly Irish hair, I've come to adore black owned brands as so many other companies just do not understand what curly hair needs. Decided to try this when I found the usual Melanin multi use oil I buy was out of stock at the in store Ulta. Figured why not as it's 1/4 of the price with similar ingredients. Turns out this stuff actually works way better! Didn't realize how dry my hair actually was, the ends are so soft now. I have to use it every day because my hair practically eats any oils I put in it, it's heavy but that's what my hair type needs. Definitely buying this again, wonderful.

I have 8 bottles and they are all partially filled. I called African Pride and they don’t answer their customer service line. Target needs to hold them accountable. And they are NOT black owned like they say.

I love this oil blend! It's perfect for my 4c hair to seal my curls. It's light and it smells amazing.

Not a fan of the scent, thought it would be more fragrant. Made my hair super oily and slick and i only used a small amount to oil my scalp

Product was just delivered via shipt. Bottle isn’t full and safety seal is in the lid. Clearly product is missing from this bottle. Won’t be purchasing again and now I have to drive to the store myself. Thanks a lot

Great lightweight oil for low porosity hair

Bought this while on vacation to help with my itchy scalp. Worked immediately. Oil is a little heavy for a hot environment though. I would probably use this in the winter only.

I have purchased the African Pride Essential Oil several times to only find out the the bottle is not fully 4oz. I purchased the item doing Target’s curb side pick, only to my dismay the amount that was in the bottle. I returned to the store thinking something was wrong with just the bottle that I had purchased. To my surprise my bottle was not the only one that looked like a quarter of the amount is missing. I’m paying more for less. That is terrible in every way. I felt as a consumer I’m being robbed. The past bottles that I purchased had more in the bottle. Please take a look at what I ended up taking home. I’m very disappointed.

Obsessed with this stuff

This oil smells really good. It has a scent that lingers long after using it. This means that it will cling to fabric. It's a sweet scent. I'm not sure if it's helping my hair at all since I've only had it for a few weeks but it blends easily with other products (the leave-in and cream). A little goes a long way.

Move this oil. Very inexpensive and lightweight

Extremely lightweight and offers just the right amount of sheen or shine. This is half the price of some of the larger brands and it’s just as good, if not better! Great smell that’s not too overpowering. I have found my new go-to hair oil that provides what I need for my 4C hair! ❤️
