The Doux Chief Rocka Xtreme Moisture Mousse - 8 fl oz

This is my favorite mousse by far. I typically prefer a strong hold only because my very short, fine, high density 4b/4c frizzes very easy but I have never really liked the hardest that comes with it. I’ve found a lot of mousses claim to function as leave ins but this one REALLY delivers. This makes my hair extremely soft, shiny and it does have great “flexible” hold. I can run my hands over my head and my curls bounce right back into place. My hair does still frizz a bit with it, so I prefer to pair it with a gel, but when I am in a rush, this is perfect to slap on and go, as it dries quickly and my hair looks great with it alone! I typically do daily wash and gos so I can’t speak to how long the hold lasts, but on the second day, It refreshes perfectly with a little water and some more mousse.

I’ve struck gold with The Doux Chief Rocka Extreme Moisture Mousse. I used The Doux Base Gel first. Then, I applied the mousse generously through my damp hair. The results were incredible: my hair felt incredibly hydrated, soft to the touch, and well-defined. This combination has now become a staple in my hair care routine, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I don't normally take the time to do product reviews but this product is just flipping amazing and has me in a chokehold. The shine; the definition; the hold; the smell....I could honestly go on and on about it. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I'm convinced Maya is a sorcerer. The Doux, I will never quit you!

AYO - so first i tried mousse def back in the day and jt was amazing! It was literally all i used in my hair. THEN they came out with crazy sexy curl and when i tell u I was in love?? LISTEN *chefs kiss* and NOW we have chief rocka?? Look … i have now found my favorite product of all time. 3c hair if you’re into that and my hair is happpyyyyyy

I never write product reviews, but I just finished using this product and the spirit moved me! I have fine, low density, very dry hair and often have to trade-off between moisture and definition when using styling products. No more! My hair is so defined, juicy, and shiny. Shiny!!! My hair fine, dry hair is actually shiny. And the hold is amazing. The Doux, you did it again…and from another veteran, thank you for your service to our country ♥️.

What clumps up will stay clumped! Chief Rocka is so so dope ! I love the mix of def and volume with extreme moisture.

Great foam, easy to use and it does what it is supposed to do.

I was not impressed with this mousse like the Mos Def and Honey ones. My wash n go was a wash n no. I will use this one for twistouts instead.

I’m a wash and go/curl set girlie. This product has exceeded my expectations. ESPECIALLY for a one and done styler. I used it exactly as stated on the package. There is extreme hold and definition but yet my hair is soft and pliable with volume from day 1. My hair lasted all week. I typically don’t refresh. I have found it not necessary with this product. I LOVE this product. This one product replaced my usual combo of base gel, more gel, topper gel or foam. The only bad part is that I still have those other products I need to use up. 😭😂 THANK YOU MAYA!!!

When I say I'm shook, I'm SHOOK! I absolutely love how my hair turned out. I used Cheif Rocka and Crazy Sexy Curl, and whoo Chile... curls for days! Will be purchasing again. And, again.

This mousse definitely provided me with extreme moisture. The hold was soft with shine as well. I don’t like hard holds, this mousse was perfect to me.

This is a good mousse, but it really is not that much different from Mousse Def other than the smell. I honestly think that The Mousse Def holds stronger and better definition tbh. It’s an overall good product but I do not see much deviation from Mousse Def.

received a different product. website advertises and xtreme hold mousse with a white label, but I received an xtreme moisture mousse with a black label. messaged the brand and they said the target info is all wrong

This is SOOO good! This one is my new favorite over the Mousse Def and Crazy Sexy Curl.

I really like the product and have tried several others from this product line without getting my hair to look and feel how I want. I have really dry and extremely low-porosity hair. This made my hair soft and my curls pop, and it didn’t cause excessive dryness like I experienced with the mousse. I had no flaking. I don’t like products that cause a crunch or cast, so this was perfect! This is my new go-to for wash and go’s!

So I ordered this as soon as it was available but my mom got it for me before my order could arrive in the mail, lol! I started with Mousse Def, went on to fall in love with the Crazy Sexy Curl Honey Foam, and now I think this is my new favorite. I didn’t follow directions because I was so eager I forgot to read them; instead, I put this on in the shower on dripping, soaking wet hair directly after washing out my conditioner. Then I got out the shower and just ran a denman brush through my hair section by section. So fast and easy! I diffused in record time. I was a little scared to use NOTHING else on my insanely dry, prone to frizz, fine, course-surface-textured, low porosity, low-medium density 3c curls… but the results were phenomenal. My hair felt light as air, had great volume (which never happens for me on day 1), was so shiny and defined, and felt insanely soft. I loved how it felt but I think I had too much water in my hair, which diminished the hold, none the less, after sleeping in a silk bonnet, I just spritzed a little moisture on the perimeter of my hair so it wouldn’t be stiff from sleeping on it and it was good to go day 2 (mid day 2 curls in the photo). I’m confident I can get at least 1 additional day with a little refreshing but will probably squeeze a little water out before my next wash and application or use a little more when I brush style for a little extra hold. I will definitely be keeping this on deck, particularly for days I need to do a super fast wash and go!!!

I just received chief rocka today. Let me tell you they got the name right because my curls are rocking! I did a wash and go with only this. No oils, no leave-in conditioner, nothing! My curls are so defined, shiny and soft! There is no hard cast at all! This may surpass Mousse Def and Crazy Sexy Curl for me. The Doux did it again!

What can the doux do next … so I literally received it yesterday and took out twist wash and use this product. I love it. Much like the doux original foam it gives hold and this one left shine and moisture! I ❤️ my natural hair thank you the DOuX for another great product !
