Provides amazing hold on my 3b-4a. Great for wash and go.

I have 2c/3a hair, super frizzy in humid weather and this held up on a tropical trip, definitely a strong hold. I used it with other products and alone, when used alone it gave me more of a crunchy hold but once the cast set, I was able to crunch it out and it held so softly and nicely! I also use the foam mousse from this line and it’s also lovely.

This is a great curl custard (my favorite is the cantu define & curl custard) and creates defined curls on my 3c/4a hair. It has a sticky consistency like actual honey so you have to work quickly to brush/rake through before the section dries. It has a very faint honey scent (the honey curl mousse has a stronger scent). You get a lot of product for the price. 1 star off for delivery as this item was bundled with 2 other items in a plastic baggie inside the box, the cover came cracked, hoping this doesn’t make my product dry out.

Every time I stray from Maranta Power I immediately regret it. This stuff turned my hair into stiff tumble weed! Dry, crunchy, and hard. Terrible. Never again!

If you are thinking about buying this, BUY IT!! I bought this on a whim as I’d run out of my usual products and needed a curl crème, and I was pleasantly surprised! I used it as a wash and go, BEAUTIFUL HOLD!! As mentioned in the product video, use more water for a soft hold and less water for a firm hold. I’m currently on day 5 hair and you won’t believe how defined, shiny, and gorgeous my curls look. This is the best they have ever looked. Please don’t ever discontinue this product, I LOVE IT!!

Although it defines my hair and has a good slip when applying, once it dries it is the crunchiest thing ever. Even after applying more water, once it dries it’s as if my hair is glued too each other. Absolutely STIFF. It makes me upset because the jar literally says “no crunch or flaky residue.” The no residue is correct but the crunch is so disgusting. Although I love the DOUX, i will not be buying this specific product again.

Awesome definition with my curls and no frízz. Stands up great for 3 days if you properly tie them down. Great stuff

HONESTLY AMAZING!! I usually don’t write reviews but seeing how low of a rating this has is criminal. I have 3b/c and I was skeptical but it left my hair so defined and hydrated! I paired it with olaplex leave in moisture and mend. It’s so good. The pictures don’t do justice lol

I am begging y'all. DO NOT change the formula on this. I've perfected my wash and gos using this custard! I get compliments every. single. day, nearly every hour! My wash and go lasts for days!! Like, a full week! Love this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago, I'm so glad I bought it. It helps hydrate my hair because all the other times I would use gels and SOME other conditioners they would make my hair dry, thanks to bee girl my hair is finally healthy.

I did a wash n go finger coil with the Bee Girl gel a few times. Every time I use it; it tends to flake badly. The next day a brown crust covered my hair and it looked so dirty and dusty. I have 4a/ 4c hair

My 3b/3c thick curly hair absolutely loves The Doux Bee Girl Honey Curl Custard! It truly lives up to its description by hydrating and defining my curls without leaving any crunch or flaky residue. I recommend this product!

I bought this due to all the great reviews but I don't think it's for me. While I did follow others guidance and use minimum product so it wouldn't weigh my hair down, my hair turned out crunchy. My curls are super defined and my hair is fluffy and light, it just doesn't feel good to touch. Maybe it's just my hair.

I just found out about this custard and oh my gosh, I wish I’d found it years ago. This is the only product that has given me a shiny 9 day wash and go! It’s truly amazing. I hope the formula never gets changed. This stuff is the truth.

Oh my goodness I’m never touching this container again! Just got it and it smells like chemicals and plastic! I tried to use it on my wet hair and give it the benefit of the doubt, but it never absorbed into my hair no matter how much I rubbed it in. It just sits on top of the hair, so when it dries it solidifies and literally flaked out of my hair. My sister tried it too and it was even worse on her hair, it crumbled off all over her clothes. I washed it out and my hair is drier than it’s ever been. I feel bad but I can’t use this in my hair ever again and can’t in good conscience donate this to anyone. It’s going right in the garbage.

It holds, but it leaves an awful white residue in my hair, and the buildup is pretty bad after one use

I love this product, it makes my curls POP. It also holds my curls. I have been waiting and hoping to find a product like this. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because you do get product buildup after a few days(if that makes sense).

Love this product!! I've been using BEE GIRL Honey Curl Custard for my wash 'n go's for several months. After I wash and condition, I style by gently raking this product through my hair. On a quick wash day, I can be co-washed (ONE LOVE), styled, and out the door in an hour using this product. I have just below shoulder length 4a/b curls. Things to note: 1) a little goes a long way (seriously) 2) take your time and define your curls 3) make sure the product is fully dry (I air dry) before separating your curls. I get compliments on my hair ALL THE TIME! Oh, and if, after your hair has dried, you discover you've used to much product, just run your hair under a little water, shake it out, and you're good to go. It's that easy. The BEE GIRL Honey Curl Custard is a GAME CHANGER, I tell everyone about it!! Give it a try, be patient, and find your groove - you will not be disappointed. One more thing - please, please, please make your products more widely available in Toronto, Canada. It's not always easy for me to find the products I love and need!! - DOUX Girl for life :)
