The Doux Bee-Girl Curl Enhancer - 16 fl oz

I read someone else's review that said it works with a hot oil treatment, and I agree except I didn't rinse my oil out. I always oil my scalp after washing and conditioning and the this product worked well with the oil underneath. I don't have any flakes, but there is a cast that I am hoping will soften or break down after a few days. However, my curls look really good and defined.

Hair took for every to dry. When dry it was crunchy and hard. Had to soak my hair every morning to get it to look ok. By day 3 I was ready for a full wash. If you want hard curls this will be your product

I have never used this brand before and this was the first product I tried. It leaves sooooooooo many flakes its actually insane. It has a nice curl cast and you don't need anything else but the flakes are are very intense. I wouldn't use this again or recommend it for that reason. there are def products with the same definition but without that huge drawback

Product is great but not for the weak!! I followed the instructions and failed. Tried again and same problem: flaking and rough curls. It took some time but I found a way to make it work. After cleaning and condtioning, I did a hot oil treatment, rinsed it out and then added the custard: HERE WE GO!!! For me, adding carrier oil and then the custard helped it bind perfectly. I was able to get the definition and hold without the issues. Even then, a little still goes a long way but I'm satisfied with it. Would do 5 star but gave it 4 for having to figure out a game plan. Love it still!

I got this product in hopes it'll work for my hair type (curly) and my daughter (wave and curly) and it works amazing for both her hair and mine !!! It won't leave any white cast on your hair and it moisturizes it while still keeping it defined. My daughter has worn her hair down to school w/ it styled w/ this custard and topping it off w/ their bee girl setting foam !!! Lasted her all day. 10/10 product for us !!! Will be buying more from their line.

I love it!!! I personally have not tried it at home myself, but my stylist paired this Bee Girl Custard with the Crazy, Sexy, Cool Foam, and my curls were popping and shining. I personally never liked custards or even foams for my hair. I have always been a gel girl, with a leave-in conditioner as a base. But I can’t deny the results of this look. And not only did the curls look good day one, but I barely had to touch it for the next couple of days because my curls locked in place. I just threw a bonnet on at night, would shake and fluff in the morning, and that was it. Probably around day three or four was when I had to spray a curl refresher, but I still did not have to over manipulate the hair because my curls were locked in place. I’m going product shopping today, and best believe I’m buying these two products.

Works perfectly for my finger coils. Wouldn’t recommend for a wash & go (at least on my hair).

This gel used to be amazing. It was my go to gel for wash and go’s. By the third day after washing it would start to flake and I didn’t hate it bc I usually wash my hair every 3-4 days. Now this gel flakes by the next day. It’s horrible. Can’t even get two days worth without looking like there’s dandruff all over my hair and clothes. Will have to find a new line bc this has gone down substantially.

Provides amazing hold on my 3b-4a. Great for wash and go.

I have 2c/3a hair, super frizzy in humid weather and this held up on a tropical trip, definitely a strong hold. I used it with other products and alone, when used alone it gave me more of a crunchy hold but once the cast set, I was able to crunch it out and it held so softly and nicely! I also use the foam mousse from this line and it’s also lovely.

This is a great curl custard (my favorite is the cantu define & curl custard) and creates defined curls on my 3c/4a hair. It has a sticky consistency like actual honey so you have to work quickly to brush/rake through before the section dries. It has a very faint honey scent (the honey curl mousse has a stronger scent). You get a lot of product for the price. 1 star off for delivery as this item was bundled with 2 other items in a plastic baggie inside the box, the cover came cracked, hoping this doesn’t make my product dry out.

Every time I stray from Maranta Power I immediately regret it. This stuff turned my hair into stiff tumble weed! Dry, crunchy, and hard. Terrible. Never again!

If you are thinking about buying this, BUY IT!! I bought this on a whim as I’d run out of my usual products and needed a curl crème, and I was pleasantly surprised! I used it as a wash and go, BEAUTIFUL HOLD!! As mentioned in the product video, use more water for a soft hold and less water for a firm hold. I’m currently on day 5 hair and you won’t believe how defined, shiny, and gorgeous my curls look. This is the best they have ever looked. Please don’t ever discontinue this product, I LOVE IT!!

Although it defines my hair and has a good slip when applying, once it dries it is the crunchiest thing ever. Even after applying more water, once it dries it’s as if my hair is glued too each other. Absolutely STIFF. It makes me upset because the jar literally says “no crunch or flaky residue.” The no residue is correct but the crunch is so disgusting. Although I love the DOUX, i will not be buying this specific product again.

Awesome definition with my curls and no frízz. Stands up great for 3 days if you properly tie them down. Great stuff

HONESTLY AMAZING!! I usually don’t write reviews but seeing how low of a rating this has is criminal. I have 3b/c and I was skeptical but it left my hair so defined and hydrated! I paired it with olaplex leave in moisture and mend. It’s so good. The pictures don’t do justice lol

I am begging y'all. DO NOT change the formula on this. I've perfected my wash and gos using this custard! I get compliments every. single. day, nearly every hour! My wash and go lasts for days!! Like, a full week! Love this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago, I'm so glad I bought it. It helps hydrate my hair because all the other times I would use gels and SOME other conditioners they would make my hair dry, thanks to bee girl my hair is finally healthy.
