submitted byMelissa - 4 years agoA: Hello, If your hair is naturally straight, this is not the product for you. Curl Maker is specifically designed for people with curly/coily/kinky hair. It enhances their natural curl pattern while reducing frizz. It's a great product, but not for the hair type you've described. I would recommend you braid your or even try bantu knots (look on YouTube), sleep in them, and release them in the morning. This may give you a temporary curly/wavvy texture that you desire. Q: Would this work for caucasian 2C/3A curls w/fine to medium thick strands, a lot of frizz (from DevaCurl damage) & body, but not that much hair. The body & curls kind of hide that I don't have tons of hair. Thank you!

At first when applying the curl maker, I wasn't sure if my wash n go was going to turn out great, so I paired it with my tried and true wetline gel. After drying, my curls were POPPIN! The curl maker paired with the wetline is a game changer for my wash n gos! I mainly used the curl maker then added a little bit of the wetline gel. I'll definitely be using this gel combo for my wash n gos to have poppin results everytime!

This definitely makes your curls look beautiful!!!!!! BUT you will have flakes after it dries🤦♀️ I used this product with Curl Lala, thinking it will give extra moisture and reduced the flakes. It did a little. Overall, I used this product directly after washing my hair. I did use a generous amount. It gave me a beautiful flexible hold.

I first tried Curl Maker over a decade ago, but it didn’t work for me—I didn’t know much about wash-and-gos back then. I have type 4 hair, fine strands, high density. I gave it another shot earlier this year, pairing it with another gel, but it was way too sticky. Now that it’s winter, I decided to try it again, and this time, everything clicked! After rinsing out my conditioner, I applied Curl Maker directly to wet (not soaking wet) hair with no leave-in. My hair started clumping immediately, and I abandoned adding a topper gel (a rare occurrence for me) applied it all over and give my hair a shake. The result? A medium, very defined, hydrating hold that’s perfect for winter. It does feel a little tacky while drying, so I style my hair in the morning to let it fully dry by bedtime. The way it’s looking now, I’m confident I’ll get five days of wear. Definitely worth the learning curve!

I never really enjoyed wearing my hair out although I have a nice length of hair, because of the fact my curls were never really defined. This product truly defines your hair so much, the results bring so much confidence when it comes to wearing your natural hair out in the open especially having coils hair.

I just did a wash and go using coconut water shampoo, coconut water treatment, hair milk leave in, and curl maker gel. Once my hair dried, I scrunched cocoa nibs serum oil in my hair. I can't believe how soft, moisturized, and defined my hair is. I just found my staple hair regimen.

I love the hold I get from this product on my 3a-b curls. I use a leave-in conditioner, then section my hair and apply 1/2 pea sized amount to each section. I refresh with a pea sized amount emulsified with water. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I cannot get the last ounce out of the bottle. Camille Rose, please please please change the packaging to a tub instead of a pump bottle!!!!.

I have low density low porosity Wavy hair and it’s so hard to find a gel it doesn’t weigh my hair down and leave it looking sticky. This is my favorite gel right now. It is so light but leaves such a good cast in my hair that scrunches out nice the first day and even better the second and third day. It’s definitely worth trying! Especially for the price, it’s better than some high cost gels I have tried by far.

I liked my curls but i cant stand the smell!! If you are familiar with car mechanic smells. Thats what it reminds me of. My husband said it reminded him of his car soap ...to me it reminds me like car oil !?!

I love this product. If you're reading a bad review about flaking & residue, chances are those people aren't using it correctly. I have very fine hair which is easily weighed down so I have to use minimal product. This has been the BEST yet after spending a lot of money trying to find a great hold/'curl maker' without a gunky, weighed down feeling. It 100% IS Aa curl maker & leaves my hair soft with a SLIGHT crunch to scrunch out. Day 2 & 3 I can easily reactivate with water. If you know how to use product on wavy/curly hair (ON WET HAIR) try this! It's NOT flaky, gunky, and doesn't smell like maple syrup. It's the best stuff I've tried and I won't be trying anymore for a very long time!
