Q: My hair is fine and on the looser end of curly hair type. So like 3a to 3b and I was wondering if this product is good for me?

A: Yes! It would be a great product for your hair type. For hold, I would recommend trying Jelly Soft Curls and for conditioner, our Leave In Condish! For soft bouncy curls, try Feather Soft Curls!

Q: My hair is not really curly, it's more naturally wavy. Would this product possibly work for wavy hair?

A: Yes - I have pretty wavy hair, and I like how it helps smooth my hair in a way that cuts down on the frizz and flyaways so that the wavy texture shows more clearly. It really cuts down on the amount of styling work I have to do to have it look good when I want to let my natural texture show.

A: Yes! I have low porosity hair and it works great alone for volume and fluffy curls, or under a heavier styler like a custard or my fav wetline gel!

A: It contains Benzyl alcohol which is a non-volatile alcohol used as a preservative in products. It should not impact the texture or feel of your hair. ... This makes it much more hydrophilic (water-loving), so that it can attract and hold water to the hair.

I was recommended this for my curls because I have fine hair and it does work very well. It leaves my curls bouncy and well-defined without weighing them down. I get pretty good second and third day curls as well. The scent is pretty unpleasant though, like a household product, and lasts for a while. Hopefully they will change it or release a scent-free version.

Caused hair loss. Beware! I ignored the other reviews that mentioned hair loss and bought it anyway. After about 3 weeks of inconsistent use (not daily use), my hair started falling off in the shower. I stopped use immediately but hair still falling out days after. I do blame this product because I didn’t do anything different other than start this product and also because of the other reviews saying the same. And if you must use it I would advise to at least not use on a child. Who knows what this stuff contains.

I've used it once and it seems to be OK. I'll need to work with different amounts and keep experimenting. Unfortunately, I think the smell might dissuade me from trying again. It is not modern at all, and is very strong. If you want to smell like an old lady from the 1960's, this is for you.

This has more of a crunch to it as it’s drying. It took forever to dry as I air dry, I don’t use heat. I was looking for more of a soft, pillowy curl. I also wasn’t looking for my hair to smell like a Dollar General fabric softener sheet. It’s pretty strong. But if you don’t mind a strong scent and more hold than soft curl, this is a good fit.

The hold is good. A little goes a long way. It is pretty sticky. But I think it smells awful. It has a strong powdery scent. My husband said I smell like a nursing home when I walked in the room. I also don’t think it defined my curls very well. Hard to tell if it combats frizz- it was 95 degrees outside, so frizz was inevitable. I doubt I’ll give it a second try.

Liked the scent and texture of it but unfortunately did not work for my hair. I have thick, low porosity hair with 2C to 3B curls and it made my hair very frizzy and dry and totally killed my curls. Some of my curls did take but the product still left it very frizzy (I was not in humid weather). Overall, would not recommend if you have similar hair to mine.

For some reason it pops up when I search for "scent free" curl cream, but it has a very strong smell. I can't realyl stand it, I need to wash it out ASAP. The curls look good, I wish it was unscented.

My hair is 3b/c curly. This did great in regards to keeping the shape for a few days and keeping frizz at bay. My hair was soft and also had a good shine to it. However, the smell is just horrible to me. It smells exactly how it says, like laundry, and didn’t realize until I had opened it. I was hoping the smell would fade by morning but it didn’t. I wish it smelled more appealing.
