I literally love this product! It definitely works best for 3a to 3b hair. It functions more like a gel rather than a custard, but it defines my curls so well and keeps them intact. It also smells amazing!

I love the pillow soft curls but I wanted something that offered a little more hold. This stuff is terrible! I didn't even use the amount it suggested and my hair is greasy and weighed down. Just awful

I have 3a curls (recovering from heat damage) and it defined my hair perfectly. It is so moisturizing and my hair just loves it. I used not your mothers flash freeze gel and it is the best combo ever. Curls have a gel cast, are defined, and have a bit of volume.

Actually holds 3b/3c. Can be used as great refresher w water to get a few days out of washing. (I can actually go a week using this and Rizos leave in conditioner as refresh) love love! I have tried and have all the miss Jessie’s line and this is best performing .

Sadly caused so much fallout, i kept giving it chances but it just wouldnt hold.

One of the the few curly hair products that hold my curl. My hair looks nice all day and if doesn’t make my hair super stiff either.

Like some of the other reviews stated , I loved this product for my 2C-3B curly that are high porosity . However, my son has more 3B- 4A curls and coils with low porosity hair and this doesn’t do anything for him unfortunately. Overall it’s a good product for light to medium hold . I do use it even with out wash n gos for more styling and it’s good in my opinion. Adds shine to my hair with hold along side a leave in

I really liked that this had no dimethicone in it and was very hopeful it would produce beautiful curls. I was so disappointed with the results. First off it says it is a custard but from the minute it touched my hands I knew it was more of a gel rather than a creamy consistency I was expecting. The worst part is that it totally dried my hair out. All the curls that formed are thin, frizzy, crunchy, and again, sooo dry. Not to mention, the product doesn’t have an appealing smell either

This stuff is soooo good!! I bought it just to try something new but it’s by far been my favorite leave in curl product! I put it in with semi-damp hair and brush it through evenly w/ wide tooth comb, then leave in towel until almost dry, and it leaves my hair curly & shiny without weighing down my hair or feeling sticky. I plan on trying more of Miss Jessie hair products now.

This product is excellent!!! It does what it says. My curls were shiny, soft and beautiful. Not greasy at all. Just beautiful!!! Perfect product. This will be my new go to hair product going forward now.

There are a surprising amount of negative reviews on this product! I used it in mine and my son’s hair! And let me say….the slip is amazing, my hair was so moisturized, and so soft. I’ll definitely repurchase again!

Love this item! I have curls and it was a great strong hold when I used leave in conditioner and let it air dry! I style in the show to ensure my hair is super wet when applying product. Picture below is day two no refresh and slept on a satin pillow case.

If you are a type 4 hair type, avoid this product like the plague. The flaking was no joke and it left ‘snot’ like clumps in my hair. On top of that, it has little to no hold. I thought it would be like the Honey Curls but I was completely wrong. The moisture was amazing but wasn’t worth the flakes

I love all of Miss Jessie’s products, but some are better for different types of curls. My kids have different textures and different types of curls. This one didn’t do as well for my daughter that has 4b hair but makes my son’s hair look awesome and he has 3a-b. The smell is good and it doesn’t leave sticky or oily residue. 10 out of 10 if you have fluffier curls!

I have tried so many products and Im so glad that I’ve finally found this. It’s the only product that has ever made my very dry hair remain in shiny hydrated curls versus shrinking up into a ball of dryness. I have 4b hair and usually products do absolutely nothing to my hair. I love this! I could see someone with looser curls not liking the texture of the product for their hair type though.

I used this product for a wash and go. I was very disappointed with my results. I had no curl definition and my hair became very dry and brittle as it dried.

So I have 4C hair and I recently chopped my hair. This defines, curls & holds my typically undefined curls. It’s an amazing wash and go, I shower put in some leave in conditioner and then add in the coily custard and let it dry on its own.

I had high hopes for this product as the reviews were mostly good & I’ve had good experiences with other Miss Jessie’s products. But like other reviewers have stated, this product has a funny scent. It’s not quite medicinal, but not perfume-y either. As far as the product itself, it wasn’t really for me. I have short 4a hair and I didn’t particularly care for how this product defined my curl pattern. Maybe if I had thinner hair I’d appreciate the product more because it did separate the curls, but that’s not the look I was going for. I prefer something that enhances my natural curl pattern but keeps it shiny, soft & retaining moisture. This is good at retaining shine and possibly moisture, but it did harden my hair and feel like gel had been applied. I’m not saying it’s a bad product, just not what I was looking for.
