Q: Has anyone experienced an itchy scalp from using this? There are certain areas on my scalp that feel really itchy after using this oil. I've already used the oil twice now.

submitted by NaturalKinks22 - 3 years ago
  • A: Oh. I think it may have been an allergic reaction. My scalp kinda felt like it was on fire.

    submitted byNaturalKinks22 - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes! Same with mane choice. But this one itches less than mane choice

    submitted byAshley k - 2 years ago
  • A: Maybe you should deep condition your hair and then process the oil through your scalp .

submitted byCamille Rose - 3 years ago

Q: Has this made anyone's hair darker? I really don't want this to change my hair color if I decide to use this.

submitted by NaturalKinks22 - 3 years ago
  • A: No.Coco Nibs do not make your hair change color.

submitted byCamille Rose - 3 years ago
  • A: Cocoa Nibs + Honey will not darken your hair color. The amber bottle is to protect light sensitive oils within Cocoa Nibs. The oil itself is clear.

submitted byCamille Rose - 3 years ago
  • A: Thank you. I was wondering because I know one of the ingredients is brahmi, I thought it possibly darkened one's hair color over time. Also, some people claim that amla darkens hair over time (but I've read somewhere that amla by itself is not a dye).

    submitted byNaturalKinks22 - 3 years ago

Q: Can this be used on chemically colored hair?

submitted by Oldbat - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes it can .A healing hair oil blend crafted to combat thinning and hair breakage and Colored hair .

submitted byCamille Rose - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, it can.

Q: Can I mix this with Jamaican black castor oil cause this oil works great by itself and smells AMAZING but I like thicker oils?

submitted by Essence - 1 year ago
  • A: This item is designed to work on it's own. You do not have to mix with any other oils.

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 9 months ago

Q: Is there suppose to be a seal?

submitted by Nikki - 1 year ago
  • A: There is no seal on this bottle.

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 1 year ago

Q: does CR cocoa nibs & honey ultimate growth serum give your Afro/America hair a heathy shine ? 7/17/21

submitted by DJ - 1 year ago
  • A: This is a scalp treatment not a hair oil

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 1 year ago

Q: Can you use this while wearing protective hairstyles?

submitted by Iona - 2 years ago
  • A: The directions say to use every other day. It is safe to use on protective styles but you may not be meeting the suggested frequency needed to see results.

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 2 years ago

Q: Is this okay to use for straightening hair with a straight or flat iron?

submitted by gpaige_95 - 2 years ago
  • A: No, this is a healing hair oil blend crafted to combat thinning and hair breakage. This is not suitable to use as a heat protector.

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 2 years ago

Q: can i live it on my hair as long as i want. like a week or so? thank you

submitted by busy mom - 2 years ago
  • A: Shake well before each use. Pour a small amount onto fingertips and massage into scalp. Use every other night before bedtime, or as often as needed. No need to rinse out.

submitted byBeauty Advisor - 2 years ago

Q: Does it make your hair grow longer faster or just thicker, mine is really thick but I just want my hair to grow faster.

submitted by Tiffany - 2 years ago
  • A: This product reduces hair loss, stop thinning and breakage. It naturally thickens and nourishes, promoting hair growth.

I have have seen results with consistency. I have used for two years during my hair growth journey. I stayed in cornrows or minibraids throughout the hair growth journey with the goal being healthy tailbone length when stretched.

Okay so I’m gonna bring up a couple things I’ve seen in other reviews, on that it irritates peoples scalps. So I’m mixed but I have pretty sensitive skin. My advice is that if you want to try something new but are unsure how your skin will react to the ingredients. Do a patch test on your skin! I used the inside of my wrist and just did one drop , spread it around and waited to see if anything happened. If you get a reaction on your skin I’d say don’t put this on your scalp! Second yes it’s oily, you don’t need much. One drop or maybe two depending on how thick / how much hair you have. Put on your finger first and once it’s on your scalp it will spread! Don’t do more than that and then complain. I do this on days when I know I’m going to stay home & wash my hair incase i go a little extra on applying. It works if you stay consistent with it and it will take a few months to see results most likely.

My Go To Hair Oil

This is the first product I bought from Camille Rose. I used to perm my hair alot, had thin hair and my hair will fall out in clumps everytime I washed it. I will say this my favorite oil that I use all the time. My hair hardly shed anymore and my hair did grew. I used it mostly when I have in protective styles or when Im wearing conrows under my wigs. If you have sensitive skin like me the oil might have itching in the beginning but definitely stopped for me after using a few times.

Was excited to try this, the ingredients are phenomenal and I loveee the smell. Unfortunately, after using as directed for about 4 weeks, my hair started to actually thin out and fall out. My scalp became very red and sensitive after leaving this on for more than a couple hours. I think this is clearly not for thinner & finer curls, but for hair with low porosity. After discontinuing use, it took about 3 weeks but my hair is almost back to normal.

Smells so good !!! Like candy ! But very oily I am kinda embarrassed to put it on then go somewhere lol because it makes hair look like you are sweaty or like you haven’t washed it in forever . I can tell there are little results.

My review is based on my experience. I’m terribly allergic to coconut oil. So when I started using this my scalp started itching and burning really bad. To point when I touched it, it would hurt. I’m sure it would work great for someone without a coconut sensitivity. The smell was ok as with all natural products it just smelled earthy. I really wanted to like it but with such a high coconut content I can not use it.

I have PCOS so my hair has been breaking off really bad. This product has strengthened my hair and really helped with the breakage. It leaves your hair super oily so I only use it 3 times a week.

Natural hair. Really like this. Non greasy but I can tell it’s moisturizing. Softens hair. I actually like the smell. Light. Seems to work for growth. 3/5 stars for value because I want it to be cheaper lol but it has lasted when used every other day for about 2mo so far and still have some.
