Q: Do the Step2 Whisper Ride Cruizer - Blue, currently being sold as of 2/3/2022, still have the molded soft sanoprene material over the plastic wheels? Or are they just plastic and no longer offer a whisper ride?

A: Thank you for contacting Step2. The wheel does have a soft sanoprene overlay covering and has been redesigned and is still intended to produce limited noise depending on the ground surface. The underlining surface will affect the noise level - cement, gravel, cinder, grass, dirt, wood, decking, etc. as well as the weight and movement of a child will have a large impact affecting the noise level. This was the most difficult toy to put together due in part to picture only directions and a bent metal rod already installed for the handle. The metal rod has to be removed and then inserted into the handle, which was quite challenging given the aforementioned bend in the metal rod.

Bought new from store. Grandson loves this!
We use this as an alternative to a stroller and is amazing for our short trips to take the dog out, get the mail, etc. I purchased this new from the store and it came perfectly packaged and was easy to assemble. My grandson is 1.5 and he absolutely loves it and pretends to be driving and he honks the horn. The manufacturer could probably make the instructions a little bit better for the seatbelt and the handle to get better reviews.

To be honest this was really hard to put together. My son loves it but I struggled for a long time to figure out the pieces and it is not well made so several wouldn't fit together seamlessly. I also had a lot of extra nuts/bolts which is worrisome. Lol.

Son loves it!
I Like that the handle can be adjusted down to store away or carry in the trunk of my car. I also love that my child’s feet are kept inside the rider car. The hard plastic material also seems very sturdy and durable. Love the cup holders for kids cup and the one on the handle for the adult.

Received this as a gift, though gift it was not. The car was incomplete, missing an axle. God smiled upon me, offering me freedom from the agony I should face, though in my blind arrogance, I defied His caution. Thinking myself worthy of the challenge, I swapped the faulty car for a complete one, and began assembly in earnest. Dismay! Disarray! The pieces fit not together, as if fashioned by the hands of the same toddlers it promised to bear. The pre-drilled holes, too small for the bolts they should hold, shrunken, as a broken heart warding off love. The instructions, as clear as a mountain fog with pictures grainier than the stretches of coast that boarder the wine-dark seas. My hopes, dashed, scattered, broken, as upon the icy Helcaraxë that is the Phase 2 Whisper Ride Cruiser. So here I sit. Broken, battered, triumphant in the end, yes, but warning of the cost. I beseech you, reader, consider what cost may come to you or your loved ones should you dare think assembly will be easy. Consider the Fathers, your Husbands, your Sons, or you yourself. Who will bear the true cost of this purchase? My son loves his new ride, and his smiles make me sure I should endure such a cost again, if only to make his little world a little more wonderful. Though if you can, choose an alternative. And should you find yourself cursing the makers of such a contraption, remember only, that you did not heed my warning.

Missing Parts!
Took a chance ordering this since other reviewers indicated they had parts missing. All of the assembly parts were missing in my box! Isn't there any quality control at this company? I called customer service and "Justin" ordered the parts for me. He also indicated that I would receive the parts in time for my grandson's birthday. Of course, I did not receive until after. Extremely disappointed and will not be ordering from Step2 in the future.

Easy to build. My son loves going on walks and honking the horn on his car. It’s easy to steer. Recommend this product. Only thing I was disappointed is that I wish the cup holders were a wider to fit a yeti cup I still have to carry the bottle and my sons water cup also didn’t fit the cup holder was too narrow.
