Q: I want to put 8 chairs around the table. 3 on each side that are 22 inches wide. What is the width from leg to leg? Is the clearance 66 inches with the extension??

A: The distance between the legs is 61" with and without the table extension. The table expands out at both ends. The base (with legs) stay in place.
