Knife Block
My husband and I are having our kitchen updated with new cabinets and countertops. I decided to select the Black- Knife Block to coordinate with our updated kitchen. I had the blonde Knife Block for years and it held up well but it was time for a change and this has fulfilled my expectations!

perfect block for Pro knives
I wanted a block for my Zwilling Pro knives. This one is perfect. It is designed to store easily with the curved bolster on Pro knives. It is very solid and has plenty of slots......room for steak knives as well.

Pro knives have curved bolsters (the middle of the knife) and this block accommodates those beautifully. The knives nestle down perfectly into the slots. I like the darker block, perfect for kitchens with dark cabinets. The block has 16 slots.

Under Cabinet Update
After acquiring additional Pro knives, my cutlery collection had outgrown my original block. This block suits me better with a lower profile that fits under my cabinets. Another plus is that I can now store the coordinating steak knives safely with the rest of my set.

If you are like me and own more than a few Pro knives, you need a Pro knife block. I like the dark wood so this one is perfect. You need a Pro block due to the curved bolster of the Pro line. The curved bolster if inserted into a regular knife block, will not fit flush and you could cut yourself when reaching to grab the knife. The block is angled so that it accomodates the curved bolster safely. Love this block and now my knives have a home.

There are different black blocks available, but I learned that because of the the angled side on this Pro block, the curved, angled bolsters on the Pro knives, fit nicely with the angled blocks. The black is unique, looks good in our stainless and white kitchen.

I like buying Pro knives separately instead of a block set, but I still wanted to store all my knives in a block, so this was the perfect block for it.
