Smell
I've been using this product for a couple of weeks and am seeing an improvement in the brightness of my skin. The smell, unfortunately, is a little off-putting. Smells like barbeque smoke. Why is that? I'm not ready to recommend this yet to a friend. I'm going to see if I can get past the smell because I do like the results.

This smells like beef jerky
How has no one mentioned that this smells like literal BEEF JERKY. Like "Pupperoni" (If you know, you know) dog treats. Unless I got a bad batch, my husband says he can smell me from across the room and I dry heave when I put it on.

New packaging
I don't like the new bottles... the serum is supposed to be clear, which is why the bottles were solid white so the serum was not exposed to light. The new bottles are translucent and the serum had already started to discolor when I recieved it. Very disappointed because I loved this brand.

Will not buy again until they change the packaging
I used this product for years and loved it.. until they changed the packaging. The new bottle is transparent and this is not how vitamin c should be stored. Shortly after purchasing this with the new bottle I started developing burning, red rashes immediately following application. I had to throw out the product which was almost full. This never happened with the old packaging. Acure please go back to the old packaging!

this is my favorite vitamin c serum, i recommend it to everyone. BUT the new packaging sucks! vitamin c needs to be stored in an opaque bottle to prevent oxidation from light, the new clear bottle is so useless. the old packaging is actually why i started using this brand in the first place. i’m disappointed they changed it, i can’t justify spending the money on a product that’s going to go bad due to packaging before i can use it.

Doesn't feel good on my skin
This serum makes my face feel tight and isn't moisturizing at all. I put sunscreen over it and get my glow back with that, but my face still feels tight with this serum underneath. On the plus side it doesn't feel irritating or sting when I apply it. Overall I think it's better for oilier skin types and probably wouldn't repurchase.

I used this for the first time and it caused my face to turn red in the area that I applied it to. I only needed this as a spot treatment in one problem area for brightening. I did a patch test twice and still had a bad reaction. I researched vitamin c prior to chosing this one and it was a fail (for me). It may work for someone else but on my beautiful melanated skin, I'll pass!

I like it so far
I like to seal this in with Acure's "The Essentials Argan Oil" as my moisturizer on top. This product has a watery/slippery texture and gives me a dewey look. I've been using this as my day serum and the "Brightening Vitamin C Sunset Serum" as my night serum. I've been using these products for about three weeks and was hoping it would take care of some dark spots I have from the sun and from waxing/tweezing, but I haven't noticed a big difference there yet but it's only been three weeks. I wish Acure would make more brightening products that are free from Chamomile ingredients. Chamomile is related to ragweed, and about 15% of Americans have a ragweed allergy. I had to read through the entire ingredient list of all of Acure's brightening products and was happy to at least find something without Chamomile, but I'd like more variety in options. I would try so many of the other brightening products but won't be purchasing them as long as Chamomile is in them.

As a nail tech and make up artist with over a decade of experience I consider myself to be very experienced with face serums. I’ve tried more than I can count and I’ve even made a few. this one does the job but I can’t really say that it’s anything too specialff. What I liked about it: the cute box and pump bottle it came in. The light fragrance-some serums kind of overdo it with the scent. The fact that it doesn’t feel tacky on the skin and absorbs relatively quick. It also didn’t break me out which is a win! I would recommend this serum to someone that’s just getting into skincare and wants their skin to feel good. What I didn’t like is that I can’t say I’ve noticed too much of a difference as far as the brightening effects go but it’s also only been a week and most skincare products take longer than that to show any significant results. Overall this product didn’t wow me but it is a quality serum

As a nine year verified beauty expert, vitamin C and ferulic acid are the gold standard for brightening the skin. This combo has been the mainstay for most of us, and there doesn't appear to be a downside to it, as it had continued to dominate in the marketplace. However, the these ingredients need to be carefully balanced in the right serum, at the appropriate pH to be truly effective. This is a clear serum, with a bottle not exposed to light, to allow for oxification and it goes on clear and quickly disappears into the skin. With continued use, along with a generous serving of daily SPF, you start to see, .brightening of the skin. There is a fading of dark spots, over time, and the skin is firmer. The vitamin C does wonders for the skin's elasticity.

This Acure brightening vitamin C and ferulic acid serum works wonders in conjunction with the brightening cleanser this left my skin feeling so renewed and awake. I love that this is a super thin consistency, and it melts into the skin rapidly leaving your skin ready for the next step in your routine. I truly loved to see the inclusion of pineapple extract in this serum to help gently exfoliate. I haven't ever gotten such rapid results with a product that claims to brighten but this one truly did do the job. I would recommend this product to my oily skin gals such as myself because it helps reduce my sebum throughout the day. This was the perfect addition to my skincare routine.

Great serum for the price
When I used to work at a cosmetic clinic, we use skin ceuticals skincare products. From there, I found my favorite skincare product from them which is the C E Ferulic acid serum. But their price is very high. Then I started looking for cheaper options like Timeless skincare. Their vitamin C + E ferulic acid serum is decent but the price is really good. I found this Acure brightening vitamin C & ferulic serum is similar to Timeless serum. It is a lighter texture and it absorbs well. And Acure serum's price is really good as well. If you have a budget, this is a great serum. The instruction says using day & night. I would recommend using serums that have vitamin C in the daytime or nighttime, like once a day only. And don't forget to use SPF after applying vitamin C serums, or your skin might be irritated by the sun exposure afterwards. Overall, it is a great serum for the price.
