submitted byjo - 8 years agoA: I use it every other day in the shower. The first time, I used a lot and my face hurt a little afterwards so I started using less and it didn't hurt again. I would suggest starting off using it twice a week at first and then every other day after that. And only a little bit is needed! I like to use it in the shower because it is easier to rinse off my face. I am on like my 3rd tube of this. It is awesome!

So far, this my absolute favorite, but it's a deep green that smells like the ocean & oak moss, which may not be everyone's idea of a good time! It's definitely worth a try & especially good to use in the shower so it's not messy. If your skin isn't up to scrubs, you'd be fine using it just once or twice a week.

A: It's pretty gritty, so just use it with a light hand. If you have sensitivities, definitely patch test it first on a small part of your face.

I’m impressed! I originally thought I was getting the cleanser. I got home and realized I accidentally grabbed the scrub! I’m so glad I did! It has a nice scent (even thought it’s unscented. It is not too abrasive, and I definitely felt brighter, and softer after I used it. I did go back for the cleanser, and now I have a great skincare routine.

I used it once, and my husband used it once. We are both in our 30s. My skin is prone to dullness and dryness without flaking, and his skin is prone to flaking and sun damage. We have been using a different brand of scrub for a while now, and the first time we both used this brightening facial scrub, we knew we were hooked! The smell is wonderful. I am NOT a fragrance fan since most fragrances are synthetic, and the scent of this product is natural. I believe it is sea kelp. YOU DO NOT NEED VERY MUCH! I squirted about a quarter size in my hand, and it was too much. It was enough to do my face, chest, shoulders, and even stomach. A little bit goes a long way. I'm really pleased with all of the Acure products I ordered so far.
