Homeplus Wardrobe Salt Oak - Sauder: Particle Board Frame, Metal Hardware, Includes Anti-Tip Anchoring

I have always liked Sauder because the product I'd put together looked and felt like a solid piece of furniture. This piece, despite how heavy the box was (super heavy) and how much hardware came with it (more than typical) and how clear the instruction book was (45 pages just for English) and how long it took one person to put it together (close to 5 hours with a power driver), is not the solid piece I was hoping for. I am meticulous about assembly and have put together a wide range of pieces in my lifetime. I followed every instruction by the book and used every piece of hardware- no shortcuts here! Still, the wardrobe wobbles if pushed from the side and even a little when the doors open and close. This is a piece that will be opened and closed a few times every day. I'm not holding out hope that this piece will last the way other Sauder pieces have. There were multiple minor issues with the finish that didn't come from shipping or assembly. Doors and drawer won't line up even after multiple attempts to adjust. It also has a warning not to put anything on the top of it, which changes my whole plan for incorporating it into my room. I'm glad I paid the sale price or I might have tried to disassemble and return. I actually bought two, so I'll need to see how it goes with the next one. Overall, pretty disappointed.

What a wonderful experience. I bought two of these wardrobes because I moved into an apt. with only one closet. They are beautiful!!! My son put together one first that is in the living room - yep, that nice! Today he put the other one together for my bedroom. I love them - perfect color, look lovely, will hold just what I need it to hold. Thank you, Sauder!!!

I recently moved into an Independent Living Facility. There is only 1 closet and I need more hanging space. I purchased 2 wardrobes and absolutely LOVE them! They look fantastic; like something from an expensive furniture store. Thank you for taking such pride in your products. My husband and I have used them for years.

Cane with slight damage. Directions on installing rollers could be better. Overall, I love Sides furniture because of quality. It'sa nice piece.

Easy assembly. Follow the directions and pay attention to the direction of the panels and make sure the screws are put in straight.

Directions could be a little better

The cabinet is exactly what we needed for our back entry area as a place to hang jackets and store hats, mittens, umbrellas etc. However it is shipped in one large 130 lb box which made it very hard for us, two older people, to safely maneuver into the house up only one step. The box arrived damaged but parts were there. There were a few nicks on cabinet pieces that I satisfactorily covered with just a furniture repair marker so the assembled piece looks very nice. Assembly instructions were excellent, I did it all myself except for getting the piece upright which requires two.

The product had a lot of parts but the instructions were easy to follow and went together with ease. It was also very well package so nothing was damage. Great value.

Worked on this for hours. Could not get the doors to align and the drawer to close. I have put together many pieces of furniture and this is the worst. Gave up on the drawer and am using fabric boxes.

This cabinet was easy to put together and the instructions were clear. Small adjustments are required but that is the case with any cabinet you put together yourself.

This unit provided more storage room ,included a hanging rod, that our old unit did not. Very satisfied. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow and took less time than I expected.

I followed the manual to the letter and took my time and am now finished. The wardrobe is a handsome piece and went together smoothly. The pre-drilled screw holes put everything in it's rightful place. My only suggestion to improve the product would ne to use good quality Robertson screws rather than the Philipsq type head screws.

When nassemblingb the drawer, the side wood split when I inserted the screws. I notified Sauder and they sent me a new piece. After installing the new piece, as I inserted the drawer into the unit, the screws fell out of the OTHER side because it also split. I decided to not use the drawer and attached the drawer face onto the unit with velcro. Very disappointing. The sections where screws are to be used should NOT be made out of manufactured wood. Real wood is necessary to avoid the splitting.
