Like most of my Cricut brand pens, they don’t work consistently. They were either partially dry or didn’t work at all

Wish this had a full set of the 1.0 size
I wish there was a set of all the same pen size. I needed several of the 1.0 size but to get the 3-4 I needed I would have to buy several packs of these where I only use 1/4 pens. Cricut- please sell these one by one as well or in uniform packs. I ended up using another brand pen with an adapter.

Only 1 0.4 pen per box
These pens are fine but I wish Cricut would put more of the 0.4 black pens. Getting one out of 5 is frustrating. I thought I was getting 5-0.4 black pens. I don't use or need all the other sizes of black pens. It's frustrating not to be able to purchase single 0.3 or 0.4 pens-you have to purchase a large set!

Smudges horribly.
Definitely not permanent or smudge proof. I'm not sure why Cricut doesn't make a true smudge proof or waterproof pen. :/ If your hands are even barely moist, you're going to smudge this ink. that includes any lotions or moisturizes soaps you may have used. Be sure to keep your craft FAR away from any moisture or water.

Be aware that they are water soluble
They work well with the cricut explore 3. The only issue I ran into was that I wasn’t aware that these pens are water soluble after drying. This made my watercolor outline card idea a disaster. I thought it’d be cute to have the cricut do design outlines, and then I color it in with watercolor. The ink dissolved away, making the whole card a black/blue puddle. With a lot of paper towels I salvaged it, but it should definitely say water soluble on the package
