Q: Is it alcohol free ? and is it halal?
A: Thanks for reaching out to us here at Optimum Nutrition! Our products are not halal certified. Gold Standard 100% Whey is considered lacto-vegetarian meaning that it does not contain any meat, fish, poultry or egg. The only flavor that is made without alcohol as part of the flavoring process is the Double Rich Chocolate flavor.

Q: Optimum Nutrition protein powders typically contain sucralose. This flavor (double rich chocolate) doesn't list the sweetener used. What is the sweetener used in this powder?
A: Acesulfame Potassium is the last ingredient in the list - that's the sweetener. Also known as Ace K, Sunett and Sweet One.

Q: I see the product is a whey protein blend. Can people who are lactose intolerant drink this if there's more than just whey isolate in it?
