Made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk jugs, this bright red engine has a sturdy roof ladder that pivots vertically and rotates 360 degrees, with 'Green Toys Fire Dept.' emblazoned on each side. There are also two removable 8-rung side ladders that slide through brackets and snap in and out of place. The molded details on the body of the truck include hatchets, compartments, dials, and 2 sets of steep steps up the back, along with a GTFD shield on each door. Recommended for ages 1 and up.

This is the fourth Green Toys truck I've purchased. My two year old lives them and I feel better about the plastic knowing it comes from recycled milk jugs. Great quality. Can't wait to give to him for Christmas!

While they use the fire truck differently, both my 1 year old and 3 year old enjoy it immensely. The older of the two primarily uses it for imaginative play, while the younger enjoys making it roll and crash into things. Neither one is gentle with toys and this has stood up to everything they've thrown at it (literally). I love that it prompted a conversation about recycling and all the amazing ways you can reuse items when applying your imagination. My 3 year old was fascinated by the notion that the fire truck was constructed using discarded milk bottles. I love a toy with a lesson! As for the truck itself. I appreciate its size and that of its parts. It makes it wieldable and safe for both of my children. My son is fascinated by the lifelike quality of the ladder that pivots and rotates. The additional two ladders improve upon the experience. He likes to use them as an extension of the main ladder or for smaller jobs. I like that they have a designated storage space and that they cannot be removed by my youngest without assistance. The details provided by the impressions on the vehicle are impressive with an axe, dials, gauges, hoses, etc. We have used this both indoors and out and find that it is competent on all surfaces. Best of all, it is dishwasher safe - who's heard of that before?! Brilliant! This aspect removes my worry about mess and whether the job I did was effective.

She was so excited about it, but kept looking for a button for the siren to make noise. Also, the ladder on the sides don’t connect to the top ladder, which seems like it should. Otherwise it’s a very good toy for her age.

My son loves to drive trucks through mud and the sand in his sandbox, but this one doesn’t get gross like the others. We can easily rinse it off and let it dry in the sun to play with it all over again the next day. I also love that it’s made with recycled materials and that it doesn’t have any sharp corners or pieces.

Comes with the ladder on top of the truck that turns and raises as well as two side ladders that are removeable and easily slide out and back into thrill storage area, a small hook keeps the small ladders in place, the coolest part about this truck is it is dishwasher safe so if it ever goes thru the mud or anything and gets super dirty you can wash it in the dishwasher
My almost 4 year old loves this toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I almost didn't get it for him because I wasn't sure if maybe he was to old because it said something about great for younger ones in the description and he is getting into that 'I'm older than a baby' stage. But I got it for him anyway, because ... I'm a sucker for Green Toys. Honestly, I love them, I love that they are so easy to clean. Lol But I'm really glad I got this because it's not just for babies. It's really going to grow with your child for a while. I did find out through my almost 4-year-old that the smaller ladders on the side are detachable. They come out and there is like a little hook that like hooks them on when you slid them in but if you pull them just the right way they come out, on purpose. So that you can use them as part of your imaginary play and that's great. He really enjoyed taking them out and putting them back in and using them to put on the side of his little buildings that were 'on fire' so he can save the kitty at the top or whatever. So that's a really big bonus that the little ladders come out. However with a baby... Imo they're not small enough to be a choking hazard, but some people might be a little uncomfortable that they come out around a baby. So I would definitely be aware of that. Other than that it doesn't have any other loose parts that come out. It's a nice big fire truck to play with, easy to take outside. If it gets dirty, rinse it off and then get to bring it back in. I see years of imaginative play. The only thing I wish it had was, if they could somehow add a little hose to unravel. It has an imaginary one at the top but my son did really hope that there was a real one that he could unravel.
