To have the water come out of the hose, you first fill the tank with water (the tank is under the grey lid on top of the truck), then use the pump behind the truck's cabin. On the DRIVEN website, there is a video describing the functions of the toy. Hope this helps, and enjoy playing with the DRIVEN Fire Truck!

Awesome!
This is an awesome fire truck for my 4 year old police/fire loving boy! The water hose took a couple minutes to get working but the long ladder and hose (that squirts real water) with lights and siren make the this toy a 10/10!

Not worth the money
Nice size and cute truck but it came in with the hose broken (tried to fix with super glue) and the bottom leaks all of the water out so you can't really use the water feature for the hose. Disappointing.

As a fireman, I really appreciate how far the manufacturer went out of their way to add little gems. The functional aerial ladder and pump are just beyond any expectations. Thanks for making a truly brilliant toy, I can't wait to get more!! (For my son... But also I'm excited)

Generates plastic dust
The adjustable parts on the ladder generates plastic dust when they rub against each other while playing. We do not want microplastics around our children.

No sound after 2 days
The truck worked great the first 2 days but then the siren stopped working. The light still flashes but there's no sound. Seems like other people have the same issue with this truck. It also seems very flimsy for $30. You'd think it would be sturdier for the amount I paid.
