  • A: No. The lids are plastic and will melt. Only the pyrex/glass part of the container can be safely put into a pre-heated conventional oven.

Always handle hot glassware with dry potholders. Preheat oven prior to inserting glassware. When cooking food items that may release fats or liquids, add a small amount of liquid to the bottom of the glassware before inserting it into the oven. Allow the glass to cool so that it is comfortable to touch before cleaning or installing the lid. Have a great day!

    Won't last a year. Look elsewhere.

    Didn’t last a year. All the lids are cracking and they don’t sell replacements. At $20 a container you’d think they would have a better warranty or replacement support.

    Portability

    I love this rubbermaid product. It is a great addition to my kitchen when meal prepping an taking to work . Also it seats great for my beef stew and rice and maybe some soup although it can spill a bit but if you put it on your lunch bag it should be fine.

    Still no replacement lids?!?

    I’ve had these for years and I am appalled that Rubbermaid still does not supply replacement lids. It’s so infuriating—what am i supposed to do, buy a whole new set so I have extra bits laying around I can’t use? You’d think that in 2026 this would be an option but clearly they’re not taking feedback seriously

    The lids are the weak link. They crack. The seal breaks. That’d be ok. But tveg don’t sell replacements.

    Impossible to open!

    I bought a large (and costly) set of Rubbermaid Brilliance storage containers to replace various containers--some that were not BPA-free, and some (made by OXO) that cracked and were therefore unusable. The Rubbermaid containers are impossible to open, no matter how much I tug at them and no matter at which spots, at the corners or at the sides. It is UNCONSCIONABLE for Rubbermaid to manufacture and sell such poor products. The phone rep I just spoke with provide no recourse--no replacement lids, no advice on how to fix my current lids/containers. He stupidly suggested I wait tor the containers to "cool down" after I took them out of my refrigerator! (Important: I have never put them in the microwave or oven!) Disgusting representation of your company-- and a reflection of the disgusting quality of your inappropriately named "Brilliance" products.

As a first troubleshooting step, please make sure all four lid latches are fully released before attempting to lift the lid. You can also try gently lifting the lid from one corner while ensuring the opposite latches are completely disengaged. If the container was recently refrigerated, allowing it to return to room temperature may also help equalize any pressure difference between the container and the surrounding environment. Please avoid using excessive force, sharp objects, or utensils to pry the lid open, as this could damage the container or lid. If the lid remains difficult to remove after the latches are released and the container has returned to room temperature, the lid or container may require further evaluation. We also apologize for the experience you had with our Customer Care team. The guidance you received did not address your concerns, and we understand your frustration, particularly since you have not used the containers in a microwave or oven.     Seemingly durable and great seal. Fantastic size variety!

    Love these containers! Fast shipping from Target. The manufacturer does need to take better care of their own packaging however- we do have two containers which are scratched, but thank goodness not cracked.

    Rubbermaid....please take "note"

    I see in almost every review a comment about lids failing and the inability to buy replacements. I also see responses from the manufacturer saying they will "note" the comment. How about noting that it's more profitable for you to not offer replacements otherwise you would be doing it. You build the bottoms, you build the lids. Sell the lids separately!
