This Rubbermaid Brilliance pantry food storage container is built with tight seals and secure latches to help keep food fresh and prevent spills. The crystal-clear lid and base make it easy to see what's inside the canister, and are stain- and odor-resistant, which helps them stay looking like new. This container is great for storing sugar and other pantry staples, and stacks neatly with other Brilliance containers in your cabinet and pantry.
I now have like 20 of these containers. They are wonderful. For storage in refrigerator they are perfect and stackable. They do not stain when you put red sauce in the containers. One of the best features is serving for the table. They keep food warm until you get everyone to the table. "There is nothing bad you can say about them." I wish I would received a few free from Rubbermaid.
I bought these 3 months ago because I loved the look and leak proof. I’ve since found cracks in a few, had one of the seal flaps come off a lid while microwaving and found the seals to no longer maintain the leaks. Very disappointed as I searched high and low to obtain the 1.5 cup size to go along with the larger 3 c size to use for work everyday. And these were not cheap.
I am so sad to write this review; I absolutely loved these containers when first received and acted pretty much like a sales person showing everyone how they were ACTUALLY leak proof! Well that is no longer the case and while it appears the top is securely sealed it's not and allows for a steady leak when traveling with.
We LOVED these containers at the beginning, but they've started to warp and crack in the microwave after only a few months. We never microwave them for longer than 3 minutes and mostly wash them by hand. They are no longer usable. Such a bummer because we really liked them at first!
I bought these last year. A couple of months after using them I noticed they would leak when I put them in my bag for work. So they are not airtight. Don't know if it's the rubber seal or what but now I have two whole sets that don't seal correctly.
