Pleased with sound and functionality, but "Inlet Cord Port" too loose.
This is my second Stage Right amplifier. I have been very pleased with the sound and quality of both amps. My only concern on this amp (Stage Right 40W 10" Bass Combo Amp) is that the 1/4" "input" port doesn't hold the guitar cord in securely. As you can see in the photo, I am using a 32' coiled cord. If I move too far away from the amp, the cord jack pulls out of the "input" port. With the 32' cord, I can only move 12' away before the cord pulls out of the amp. I know I can resolve this with wireless transmitters, receivers system, but don't think that should be necessary.

Nice little Bass Amp for Bedroom
I like this amp. I'll just use it at home in a 12' x 12' room where I keep my musical instruments. Early indications are it will be fine for this purpose.

Good Little Practic Amp
I am probably spoiled in that I have a Peavy 15" Black Widow amp and a Gallien Kruger amp which I use when I play out. However, they are not always handy when I want to practice (They each weigh about 75 pounds and are somewhat awkward to move, so I keep them in the garage near the car I transport them in). I tell you this because it is an explanation of my thoughts on this amp: It seems to be well made. It doesn't compare to the bass sound I get from my other amps. It is easily transportable. I have used it at a small venue, and by working with the tone knobs it produced a satisfactory sound. It is economically priced. Overall, this is a very good value for the money and despite it's limitations I would recommend it to someone looking for a practice or small venue amp.

A Bargain
Much better amp than I expected. The Fender Rumble 40 has more features but isn't built as well and doesn't sound any better. And of course cost more than twice as much as the sale price of this amp. I even find it sounds pretty good as a pedal platform for my Telecaster. I'm new on the bass so I haven't really cranked it. As a practice amp it's perfect.

Great bargain for the buck
This is a very nice amp. One of it's strengths is the XLR/DI out, which you just cannot find on an amp at this price point. I've found you have to play with the settings to dial in your sound, but your rewarded with a nice punchy sound that is pretty cool.

If you don't HAVE the item, don't SELL the item.
I love Monoprice products. I've ordered many of them. This bass amp was to be a birthday gift for my son. The amp was taking an unusually long time to arrive, and was cancelled without warning on the day before his birthday. Monoprice. . . If you don't HAVE the item, don't SELL the item! Big disappointment.

Price/ performance ratio off the chart
Just attempt to obtain a 40W 10" speaker in a bass amp for under $300. The Stage Right also has a compression feature which is great for bass. As I am primarily a guitar player this feature is most welcome. Great sound, nice package and great price. It was delivered in extremely sturdy packaging. Monoprice comes through, again.

Excellent for practice
Great practice amp, I just love it. I can plug in my laptop through the headphones jack and jam with my favorite songs. Highly recommended this amp at a price you can't beat. Plus I can plug in my headphones and still get quality sound.

I love this amp
A perfect small amp for practice or small venues. I only wish the headphone and aux. jacks were 1/4?. Not a problem but would be nice.

Might Just Sell The Roland 100 Watt Cube...
When I saw this on sale, I made the decision to grab one, and I'm glad I did. 40 watts, 10 inch speaker, compression button, the perfect small amp for a semi retired pro bassist. Sounds great all on it's own, but I love the direct out put so I can run right into the p.a. That's why I may sell my Roland Cube. Even though it's fairly portable, it weighs much more than this great little Stage Right amp. I also use it to play 6 string guitar through, with everything set flat, I use various pedals to get whatever sound I want to hear out of it. I could not be happier with this purchase. Recently got a Retro Classic Tele I just love, and I'm anxiously waiting on an Indio Jazz Bass that's on it's way here. Highly recommended!

Thumper!
I recommend this amp, it has a great sound and ability to dial in multiple tones from metal to motown and many in between. It takes pedals well as I have one to test (OD) and the tone gets "flastulent" when gain is dimed and you're digging in. (this is just bass and amp) Other than having to really TRY to get a bad tone out of it, this is an all around tone monster and great setup for use as a monitor with the DI for FOH audio...

Great amp for a great price. I shopped other more expensive brands and this one outshines the fender and the ampeg I tried.

Excellent amp for the price
I was a bit skeptical how it would perform based on the price, but this is a clear, loud amp. Even my guitar instructor who has some crazy guitars and amps was really impressed with the amp even before he know the price. The band-pass filter to notch middle frequencies is amazing, and the compressor give some great playing options. I can not recommend this amp enough for practice and small gigs.
